true but the brokers will be asking their clients to buy. but i think some fund managers have enough clout in the company to make the trade. of course in the portfolio it will be mixed with some good fundamentals all in order for window dressing.

interesting read bro duit. much truth to it. rmbr hearing about a fren asking some fund manager about their trading style and he found out that the fund managers follow a client's trade because dey found that his trades vry cun. so while there are genuinely fundamental companies, alot of short term movements are due primarily from this.

i have no doubt that benalec has lots of potential. that said, i am afraid that the market does not take too kindly of the kind of scandals benalec has been embroiled in. this would explain the persistent low market price. this is not dissimilar to chinese stocks getting a beating share price wise even though they have good fundamentals. Although the off market sale could be something that could be a catalyst in the future, the below market price transaction does not bear well especially when benalec does not have a good market reputation to begin with. The share price will continue to be disappointing unless a catalyst is really in the pipeline, which is what crawler is saying. i hold a small stake in this company and do hope that it is true but won't have too high hopes to avoid too much disappointment

i think the stock was oversold on initial announcement of the rights issue. that created a complexity that not many investors understood and so many sold out. azrb did well in putting warrants as a sweetener. That will induce people to subscribe to the rights issue. a warrant with an expiry of 10 years along with the pipeline of construction works is quite appealing indeed

assuming the market price before ex-rights is 0.85. i believe the theoretical ex-rights price would be (0.85+0.375)/(1.75) = 0.70 and the value of the rights would be 0.85 - 0.70 = 0.15. The value of the rights now at 0.23 suggests that the market is pricing the 0.5 warrant at 0.08. theoretically since the warrants is out of the money (exercise price is more than market price), its value should be 0. the market is probably expecting the price to increase. this could be anticipation for langat 2 which would be announced soon with azrb a front runner.
