Thanks for sharing. Funny I didn't get a notification from bursa.. usually I will be alerted when companies make announcements. Anyway the new gearing ratio is rather alarming, but in this low interest rate environment, it may be a bold move. I'm still holding on unless red flags appear.

Haha Satha. We can't always time the market. Invest in good solid companies, when people realize we will be the ones to benefit. Patience will be rewarded. Now everyone too busy frying glove and healthcare counters.

Hope you can join us back again, it's very lonely here. By the way, where did you read the info regarding the loan?

Est, Sorry, I misread your message. You cannot convert C47 into mother share. C means Call warrant, issued by banks and are cash settled upon expiry. W are company warrants that allow you to convert to mother share. Hope this clarifies. Any questions, please call your remiser. they're getting paid to help you after all.

Yes Nathan. It doesn't make sense, but not everything in the stock market makes sense. I always believe, in the short term the market is irrational, but long term good companies will always reach their fair value.

The management is turning around the company with many recurring income streams and securing new contracts and expanding the company, yet still remain profitable even when oil price hit decade lows.

Good chance for us to still collect low. Patience will be rewarded. Review this company every quarter ... So far I'm not disappointed.

Good call Ron90. Yes, the topline of the company is growing beautifully. Not easy to still maintain profitable in this kind of difficult times.

They also incurred one time cost to set up their SPMSB subsidiary to undertake port management from Labuan.

Other than that I think the bottomline, while not amazing, is quite satisfactory. Looking forward to 1bil revenue this year, and perhaps share price of at least RM 0.3.

I do agree that now all time high volume, but in terms of price it is also past 10 year high. While RM 12 might be a bit idealistic, I do think RM 10 should be easily reachable once Q2 results are out. Let's see how it goes.

Value888, I refer to your article https://klse.i3investor.com/blogs/stocksinvest/2020-06-15-story-h1508787909-Stock_trading_frenzy_BEN_Bursa_Eforce_N2N_is_the_winner.jsp

You cannot say that Bursa was higher back in 2018 Jan @ RM 11+ per share. Bursa did a 1 for 2 bonus issue (share dilution of 33%) in 2018, so price adjustment has to be considered. Currently, BURSA is already trading at near 10-year high if you adjust the price, with 2008 still holding all time high @ RM 10.5 equivalent.

Sorry, I had some work commitments and missed the first half of the AGM with the most important Q&A session... Only managed to catch an interesting point that the BoD acknowledged:

Eforce performance is strongly linked to the brokers' performances.

After that it was just the normal resolutions 1-7 and voting. If you read between the lines, I think it's safe to assume Eforce will also have a strong performance this half with rising trade volume and value.

Anyone else managed to attend the AGM, hopefully can share something here.

JK22, their logistics mainly dealing with bunkering business. Amount of work should be reduced in 1H 2020. But I don't know how to predict their QR as I am not in this business. Hard to compare with FY2019 as well, as they outperformed 2018 in a huge way.

If I can read through their 1Q 2020 results, I will have a better understanding on how 2Q 2020 will go. But anyway, the 2019 performance is definitely amazing, just wondering if they can continue to grow in 2020 as well.

Personal thinking... they should be able to. But let's see.

Ron90, I was talking about revenue group berhad (0200). I attended their AGM, and I was impressed by the way the MD and the rest of the management answered the questions. This is another company that's slow and steady not much heat to fry.

As for Straits, I really can't say. They have 2 new revenue streams: port management and disinfection business for ships. Of everything they've been doing, the port management that began in April is their biggest one. I think their businesses are all very synergistic with each other.

I believe this QR should be in the range of ~200m as well. I'm eagerly awaiting their QR... they only have a few more days to announce it. Next QR (Q2 2020) might be a bit rough, as that's when all the logistics were disrupted.

Well, let's just see how it goes.

Straits is a slow and steady stock. You can see that the support has steadily increased from 14sen, to 15, 16.5, and now it's 17.5/18.

Slc1, I personally think MTAG is a good company, but your analysis is a bit wrong there. My concern with Mtag is decreasing topline, even though bottomline still can maintain. Decreasing topline is never a good thing. Profit isn't the only aspect you should look at. Since you used K+ as an example, let's elaborate further.

If you look into the report, K+ wrote off 4.4mil (this is due to expansion of production lines) so actual operating profit is around 5.5mil. Profit margin is much lower than Mtag. But topline growth QoQ is very encouraging.
K+ is also expanding rapidly, whereas Mtag doesn't seem to know what to do with their excess cash (aggressive vs safe approach, or you may say management complacency).

Having zero debt (especially in this low interest rate environment) isn't always a good thing.

I would say both are good companies, with Mtag being slightly undervalued and K+ being slightly overvalued; for good reason. K+ has much more room, intention, and catalyst for growth especially in this time.

Ride the wave, my friend. As retail investors, we have the luxury of investing in both.

"Possible" is such an irresponsible word. Pos Possible to go to RM 1.45 tomorrow. Pos possible to go to RM 0.8 tomorrow too. (limit of 30% up and down). At least back up your idea with some data... whether good data or not is up to interpretation, but at least show that the things you talk have some substance. Only con artists will ask someone to believe them without providing any proof.

For Example, Aiden above says that POS could go to RM 4. The reasoning is that from 2016-2018 pos was at that level and the valuation should go back to about that level. That's his reason.. whether suitable or not have to validate and see down the line.

Anything is possible.

Remember, please do your own due diligence before investing your money in any stock, and not rely on other people (especially on a public forum like this with 95% nonsense) for your buy/sell calls.

Personally, I'm waiting for QR to decide whether to go in more or get out. Just have a small portion 10k shares right now.

I have a soft spot for turnaround stories, for companies with struggling finances but making progress on recovery and securing more contracts.

It is of course easier to just get the shares of a company that is already doing well (i.e. penta, UWC, HL bank etc); but the rewards are just a lot better when you buy in a company that people undervalue; of course, with it's corresponding risks too. (i.e. Straits, pchem when it was RM 4, POS, etc)

That's the importance to never "all in" in any one counter, I think, but to allocate your portfolio into defensive and aggressive investing. Only risk the money you're able to lose without affecting your quality of life.

Reiterate TP1 of 0.24 in the short term, TP2 of 0.3 after that. Psychological resistance of 0.2 broken with high volume. The only way is up.

terence775 win3, my first TP is 0.24. after break that level, will reevaluate. Why 0.24? Simple: fundamentally nothing has changed for Straits. If it was trading at 0.24 before covid, it should go back to that level slowly. Most fundamentally good companies are already trading at near pre-MCO levels.

After that my next TP would probably be around 0.3. That's because straits won the port management contract and will start to see an additional revenue stream improve their business. You can take a look at their financials. The new management is doing a good job.

I think there's no doubt that the revenue will increase significantly. But how efficiently can Pos translate operational revenue to operational profit, is another question that I'm curious to see. I have entered a small position here, and will collect more if the QR is satisfactory.

In the long term, I do see POS returning back to around RM 1.50 kind of range. But how long, is the next question, and how long is one willing to wait?

Investing in a company is always weighing one opportunity cost over the other. When you use RM 10k here, for example, you can't use RM 10k elsewhere. But POS seems promising.

Madamegazelle, can always average down if you have confidence in the company. If you don't have confidence, why did you buy in the first place? Remember to do your own due diligence before risking your hard earned money.

To your question: Why the price keep dropping?
The answer is really simple. Someone wants to buy. someone wants to sell. The market operates on a willing buyer/ willing seller basis. If someone wants to buy at RM 1, and I decide to sell at RM 1, then the share price will be RM 1. The price is just the last transacted value. Does not directly reflect the company, just what someone was willing to buy/sell it for.

If you are a bit more risk averse, I would always recommend splitting your purchases into a few batches spread over a few weeks or months. For example, if you intend to invest RM 10k into a stock, you might want to split into 4 entries. This is just risk management.

If you're the type that likes to go all-in, then better be sure your heart can handle whatever happens afterwards.

People don't like long answers haha. They just want a simple yes or no. Haha.

Ok, let me just say that 40% of my net worth is in revenue, but my average price is very very low. I have a huge margin of safety, and I can afford to wait out any short term volatility. My profit right now just slightly below 100% gain from this stock. If you ask me, Revenue is a no brainer to buy. If you ask others, they will call me stupid, because glove stocks return 300-400% in the past 2 months only. Revenue 2 years returns to shareholders only about 200%.

The answer "Can buy now?" Is always "it depends on you".

The better question to ask is: How long are you willing to hold? And can you handle seeing your investment in the red while everyone else is showing off their short term gains in stocks like Comfort/TopG/Harta etc?

abc333, Ah I see I found the calculations. Seems interesting, I hope it is true. If it is, POS will definitely fly for sure.

DickyMe, unfortunately POS is forced to take the unprofitable routes. You can read in their Annual Report (search for USO=Universal Service Obligation). By the way, the price hike does not impact ordinary citizens but businesses if my understanding is correct; but it is true, the price hike is to cover up losses in that segment. I remember reading somewhere, that in 2019 POS is actually losing money for each delivery they make, because the ceiling price could not cover their logistic network to serve the whole country (over 9 million addresses). Good thing they managed to negotiate and convince the government to revise the ceiling prices.

Monopoly businesses are usually pirates, so you might as well invest in TNB in that case (they make money from you, you make money back from them). However, POS faces huge competition from smaller more agile companies and so are forced to innovate and make use of their large assets.

YapJH, thank you very much for the analysis. Regardless of whether anyone agrees or disagrees, I think we should all appreciate the effort people go through to share their studies and to type it all out.

I hope everyone can do a bit more in depth research into a company that they choose to invest in and so make this forum more informative rather than just blindly throwing buy/sell calls or trolling.
