seem like poultry business very challenging this year. LHI issued a statement on lower revenue on upcoming QR. Mflour releases QR yesterday and glance thru, main losses is from poultry as well. In fact, grain and flour were making money but the profit was canceled out by the loss in the poultry business.

Furthermore, Rapid only will contribute an additional 15% to total PCHEM growth (If not mistaken la) and becky was right, most of the feedcost is fixed ie; on contract but with downtrend of brent, it does not benefit Pchem. Furthermore, with Rapid coming online, Pchem need to pay 50% of the market price for the feedstk from Petronas-Aramco JV. Pls dun shoot me as my knowledge is veeery limited and my understanding of the report might be flaws.

Thnaks Becky but was not aware of the feedcosts is fixed. But having fixed cost is also not necessary a good thing. If like our ron95 fixed at a price and whent brent down, it does not gain from the drop but of course if brent goes up alot, it benefit alot. Anyway, for myself, i will just wait further because i don't have deep pocket like Philip.....lol.....

Was waiting for the presentation transcript but not out yet. But the Q3 outlook on presentation pack, most product range-bound or neutral and polymer and methanol expected to fall. Also, Becky mentioned that they have built up inventory in anticipation of Q3 shutdown. Meaning, if compare today, they have bought their feedstoock at a higher price\. It was reported that brent was on average at $66 and if brent keeps on going down which is now below 60, does that means that their ASP will be lower for all Q3 sales? Also, the maintenance not only affects production but Q3 will have a higher maintenance cost.

It was brought into 2Q. So with the upcoming heavy turnaround, brent fuel oil drop which leads to lower ASP, RM weakening against USD, I think I will give await. If it rebounds, good for those buying at low. I already bought 35% in the fund allocated for this stock. Average price slightly lower than Becky.....

3 months ago, the peers' haven report earning. Now one by one earning announce can see most of them have shrinked their profit. Also, market demand is more than supply and more supply coming online in the oversupply environment. All technical indicator showing sell. Hopefully, the 2Q will report a decent earning but 3Q is expected to be worse than 2Q......

All the peers (Local & regional) are showing a lesser profit. Will Pchem shows otherwise? I think I will stick to what is know out there. If pchem report a good quarter, well....it is a good miss.
