Who knows...presbhd can squeeze from govt to cover their costs

No...i speak from the party that was invited some time back to take over the project...

As i mentioned before....the preliminary figure put to us was 50 mil...mentioned in month sept..

So the final costing if they engage a new vendor must be less (inclusive of compensation) than a certain amount they aldy budgeted for...

Nothing cast in stone yet though

When we were approached for discussion...they aldy have a compensation range firmly in mind and its no way near those figures being talked about...

anyway...who can know all these thing now...just hope for the best

Bout this compensation ...be careful guys...

previously the tone from the govt was super aggressive...meaning they not keen to pay high and only want to concede some loss if its to the govt benefits...

maybe they have uncovered some leverages (or dirts)....to be able to adopt such bullying stance ??? Dunno...its mere speculation

maybe (just maybe) presbhd will be retained, at a much lower value...

then we can pick up the counter at rock bottom price...and make some profits...

but it is not really looking good....very very slim chance..

with the market sentiments, just sit at the side and wait...and see how it goes

However, I still think this company wont die that easily....they should be able to survive....but whatever leverages or 'benefits' they enjoyed previously...it wont be there anymore..

But they have a solid track record, to be able to compete (i guess fairly now)...

Some of you mentioned htpadu....ahhh that one another giant for slaughter...if they make one wrong move....

Not sure Frank....one thing about our PH govt....they tend to make U-turns...and change directions easily.

I dun even know whether they will re-tender out or shelf the plan....or even this may be a really nasty strong arm tactics to force presbhd to accept at a lower sum of less than 50% of original contracts...

But what I do know is that, the govt aldy seriously offered to other companies whether they are keen and interested to take up and whether its feasible and requested timeline and pricing etc

But I have to say...months ago when I told you guys to stay clear..

all the major shareholders have dumped this counter....it was aldy a very clear sign that all was not going well...

and I remember lots of u ignored my warning....

to me that was aldy a very clear RED FLAG aldy...

There is still very very slim hope to somehow salvage this...that they can persuade and convince how many LOCAL jobs will be jeopardised (like how KUB sweet talked the govt long time back)..

But there are 2 key factors

1. How many locals (and not from India or China etc) staffs did they employ?

2. How low can they go....the point of contention is that they quoted 1.6 bil for a certain scope of work...but it was evaluated to be 600mil max by an external independent consultant....can they work with this figure after all the investment and loans???

Thats the preliminary figure that was quoted and discussed few months ago when they re-evaluated and called us to discuss whether to retender the project...and go over the scope

though that figure was mentioned months ago in September/October...so I dun think thats will be the final figure

The preliminary talks (couple of months ago) was around a figure of rm50 mil....

at the rate its going...i aldy pares some of my loss (sold 50%) to cash and holding mostly some other warrants...

KLCI is going 1600 folks...and we need to have the cash to pick up the pieces later....

from the report...can still see having a nice healthy cash flow though....maybe will need some time to be built up...

on a small consolation, I am glad I dun put all in single basket...

we just have to be calm, ride the rough wave and plan our next moves...

personally, I am going to cut loss roughly half of my investment here and seek other avenues...its all depends on next week...if its still encouraging...dun mind staying put
