But Klang is terminus for China's B&R initiative. Likely demand will sustain as Klang is still growing and benefitting from spill-over from KL, PJ.

So far, I see no evidence that Vivocom management is insincere. Its response to the Edge was quick enough.
2017-06-05 16:16 | Report Abuse
The company already stated it has other ongoing project. Q1 profits was not affected. The 15.2 million is owed by CRCC to Vivocom as sub-contractor. Termination letter, if any, will have to come from CRCC. The news about Klang Gates 1 is old news. Vivocom stated that its order book is healthy. From the shares trades, the collection is at 11.5 sens with simultaneous tamping down at 12 sens.

I hope the government shuts down newspapers like the Edge that engage in predatory price manipulation in behalf of its shadowy clients or itself. This time, in the absence of any real news to spin, it cold-bloodedly and shamelessly rehashed old news WITHOUT verifying the 'news' with Vivocom's management. It reminds me of one Mr. Universe promoting his Miss Universe fly-you-to-holland stocks on behalf of his goons and cold-bloodedly exploiting even his own clients. Looks like the Edge is the same. The lesson to note is always do one's own research and not let entities with conflicts of interests, like the Edge, Mr. Universe and their goons, make us eat out of their hands. Better still, post your queries in the forums like this. I am sure knowledgeable investors do not mind to share their insights. The trolls are easily identifiable.

There was a huge collection of 260 million shares over 2 days from 21-22 Feb 2017. The present sell down is very likely manipulated. It is against the positive news on both Vivocom's Q1 net profit and outlook for 2017. CCRC will get the high-speed rail to Singapore no matter who gets Bandar Malaysia. Vivicom riding on CCRC remains a positive factor. Sigh, if only only Bursa and the Securities Commission are less lazy, more strict and more vigilant!
2017-06-05 12:46 | Report Abuse
The sell-down is likely due to the Edge's report. But its 15.2 million due and Vivocom is a sub-contractor to CRCC. Also the cancellation is over 12 months old but highlighted now by the Edge. The market factored that in as the price fell from 27.5 sens to 17.5 sens from April 13.5.2016 to 28.6.2016 before recovering to 25 sens. Since then it was on a downtrend. The present sharp sell-down is due to the uncertainty created by the Edge rehashing old news.

Vivocom's profit after tax of RM5.2 million was a vast improvement on its preceding quarter of RM0.821 million. The outlook for the rest of 2017 is satisfactory as reported by the management. There is no good reason for the sell-down.

Vivo's price is being artificially depressed. I don't think they make misleading order book. They will be liable to jail and fine. It is making money. It's profit is a great improvement from last quarter. Construction companies' profits do fluctuates depending on progress payments and recognition of sales and profits. I believe the share price is being tamped down for collection purposes.

So long as KSL's management don't do anything for the shareholders, the price won't move. Management had misled the shareholders on its "unbilled" sales in 2014 and reneged on its non-binding promise to declared 40% of its operating profits as dividends also made in 2014. That is why the share price is greatly depressed. Institutional shareholders like Tabung Haji should arm-twist KSL's management to make good on its promise and compensate for its misleading "unbilled" housing sales also in 2014.
2017-05-30 18:34 | Report Abuse
The reason why the share price is not moving is that no consistent dividend was declared for some time. Management renege on its promise to set aside 40% of its net income for dividend. Although the promise was not legally binding, KSL management should not have totally not declare any dividend for at least the past 15 months. Matrix, a similar company to KSL had been declaring dividends consistently. Its share price closed at 2.74 today. KSL's price should be at least that if not more.

KSL is not building houses for low income. It's land is too valuable. It is building for middle to high income, if I read their drift correctly.

If 78% of yesterday's buyers are institutional as the Edge reported, KPS run-up is very unlikely to be pump and dump.

TO by China companies even better since they are looking to invest all along their Maritime Silk Route - infrastructure accompanied by housing and commercial malls! Malaya/Malacca was once the meeting point for trade between East Asia and India, Africa and Middle East all the way to Europe. This role is going to be reprised under China. Chinese goods and services can be stock-piled in JB, Malacca and Carey Island or even KL. Goods from West of the Malacca Straits (India etc) can be brought to the same place where they can be bought/sold wholesale by buyers/sellers from both East and West along the Maritime Silk Route. Malaya will once more be the great emporioum (Golden Chersonese) like Malacca was, only on a scale of many times greater! KSL is going to benefit from this.

China's investment is going to boost the RE market. Also the consumer market in JB and Klang where KSL has its malls!

The scammers collected. It's their way of making money. The fact that they are buying and asking people to buy their stock is a conflict of interest. Worse is when they prey on their own clients/newbies. KLSE supervision is lax.

The construction counter will shine in 2017. Also Trumps' quantitative easing to revive US economy will inject liquidity into world's stock market. Trump wants to spend US1000 billion in US infrastructure. The rest of the world will follow suit. Very good for construction stocks. In Malaysia, also the East Coast rail and the high spped rail to Singapore. This would boostconstruction stocks.

KSL is a case in point that even a very profitable company with solid assets is no sure thing if its management or majority shareholders, for some reason, fails to keep its promises or made misleading statements.
2016-12-22 09:54 | Report Abuse
Yeah, those who invest in and hold KSL for its intrinsic value and evident longer term potential have been and are being burnt alive. I am wondering why management visit such a disaster on its faithful shareholders, especially the small ones. If it is deliberate, they need not do this and have no reason to do so. The investors have done them no wrong, just trusting in their promises and statements in 2014.

The deal with Titijaya is a joint venture. Vivocom is an engineering/building contractor. It is therefore not out of the game because it can still secure engineering contracts with the joint venture.
