When all three phases completed, Changi Terminal 5 would be completed too, with 250 millions total capacity. How could a 100 millions capacity airport be world biggest?
If KLIA finish all its expansion follow master plan, we would have 150 millions total capacity.
At any stages, Beijing Daxing will not be world largest.

Wonder when Raymond removed the lease income, did he remove the lease expense for those sublet aircraft? If he didn't, his did a wrong math =P

limch, do you know "everything must save money" airlines like AirAsia only buy/lease new aircrafts? Do you know full service airline which "don't save money" like Malaysia Airlines, Delta, America do buy old airplanes?
Poor quality airplanes? Do you mind enlighten me what is the poor quality airplane you referring to? I couldn't think of it. Thanks a lot

Sorry I deleted my original comments as it's wrong. AAX owned 6 out of their 30 aircraft in operation, the remaining 24 are under operating leases.
So for 24 aircraft under operating leases the monthly leasing rate is USD 710,000.
Consider the low age of their aircraft, the rate is reasonable.
A brand new A330 could cost about USD 890,000 per aircraft.
Their depreciation rate of USD 381,000 per owned aircraft is really on the low side. Could be due to bulk discount.

Selling of AAC has nothing to do with AAC, as it's more like sell old to get cash for buying of new efficient aircrafts. They never plan to keep aircraft more than 13 years old, now just bring it forward for good price

C919? If CAA want only operate domestically then ok, go overseas? I doubt it could get FAA/EASA approval which is a much outside China.
Continue to go for A320 single fleet is no brainer

Supersaiyan3, i beg to differ. Even when competitors are weaker now, long haul is still a money burning game. Do you know why SIA's lose money? Competitions, or more precisely cut throat competition. As of now AAX is a medium haul low cost (MHLC) carrier, yet to operate in true long haul (7hrs ++).
For medium haul, u mainly fight witn your destination players and home players. You fight ANA & JAL in japanese destination, not cathay or SIA. You fight Qantas and Jetstar to Melbourne, not Garuda.
The story is different for long haul. In long haul to destinations like London, your competitors are ME3 (Middle East 3 - Emirates, Qatar, Etihad.), SIA (since 1 hour flight to SIN is insignificant compare to 10 hours flight, but you get extra comfort), Thai, Cathay, British Airlines, Air France, KLM (all similar reason like ,SIA). If you fly to US, even worst, China big 3 (Air China, China Eastern, Southern), World largest 3 (American, Delta, United), JAL, Cathay, SIA, ME3, BA, AF KLM, Asiana, basically all airlines excwpt those in Oceania, Africa, Latin A..
The level of competition is totally different.
I am not saying AAX couldn't prevailed, but the associated risks and necessary capital is huge.
Benyamin Ismail is good, he would lead AAX with 120% care, but there is long way to go. AAX is an investment requires continuous investment and a real long term investment. Beware if you wish to step in.

nikicheong, if we see it in another way, AirAsia doesn't send AR if you don't request for it. This alone may save 100,000 copy. Btw, could share what is their IR email address? Would like to request for it too, haha.

feisch, the 25% holding of CAA by AirAsia isn't final, it's simply the law allow for max 25%. It maybe some change later although unlikely

All these mean AirAsia is ramping up its effort for ASEAN holding company.
The best entity for is its 100% owned AirAsia Investment Limited will reverse takeover AirAsia Berhad, then with all oversea entities currently under it, there come AirAsia Holding Company

C919 is basically out of option as even with first production aircraft Entry In Service this year, it would take minimum 5 years for CAA to get their first aircrafts, no need to say CAA capacity is too low.
