Eco World reported a PAT of RM44 mil in FY2015, and the company is valued by investors with a market capitalization of RMM3.12 billion @ RM1.32 per share.(NTA: RM1.34)

Tropicana reported a PAT of RM223 mil in FY2015, and the company is valued by investors with a market capitalization of RM1.56 billion @ RM1.08 per share. (NTA:RM2.15).
Furthermore, Tropicana has been reporting strong PATs for the last 4 years and its land bank is mostly located in very prime and matured areas.
Hardly any prominent research houses bother to recommend this company despite that its balance sheet has strengthened considerably over the last 3 years.....sigh.......

The management should be phased out as they have been sleeping and taking their own sweet time in carrying out their jobs, Those projects should have been launched much faster and earlier!! Simply sleeping on their job! !!!!

This company is on track to report the highest annual profit for FYE 31/1/16 over the last 16 years. It is expected to record much higher profit for new financial year ending 31/1/17 due to the appointment as a project delivery partner for LRT3.

L&G's trade and other receivables ballooned to RM398 mil as of 31.12.15. Does this mean that the company has yet to receive and recognize a lot progress billings from its Foresta project which was completed recently? Can any accounting sifus or accountants help to analyze and enlighten members in i3? Thank you.
(hoping to gauge its profit for the 4th quarter ending 31/3/16...)

Given the weak share price performance of Tiger over the last 3 months, there is a very high likelihood whereby its recent rights issue was not taken up by most of its shareholders. Hence, its capital base could have remained pretty much the same and its fundamentals have neither improved or deteriorated. Unfortunately, its share price has however dropped quite a lot (in terms of percentage) from its previous 9 sen level....

The land @ RM18.40 psf can be deemed fairly cheap. It can generate substantial profit even if L&G were to build double-storey linked houses only on the land for sale. This land can easily generate a GDV of more than RM1 billion. (assuming 112 acres x 12 units per acre x RM750k per unit) and profit of RM150 mil to RM200 mil.

Quite a good deal for GOB as the land cost may be deemed quite cheap if the project can generate a GDV of RM900 mil. Effectively, the land cost of RM23.59 mil (RM3.66 psf) is worked out to be 2.62% of the GDV.
The good news is that GOB has to pay only RM 2.5 mil upfront, and the balance over a period of up to 10 years, to lock in 148 acres of land for development over the next 10 years.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Proposed Disposal is expected to be completed in the first quarter of year 2016
Upon completion of the Proposed Disposal, GuocoLand is expected to realise a net gain on disposal of approximately RM19.94 million. The net gain attributable to owners of the Company represents an increase in earnings per share and net assets per share of the Company of approximately 2.98 sen.
The company will also recognize RM137mil gain on disposal of an office tower alone to Hong Leong Bank for FYE 30 June 2016, translating into an EPS of 20 sen.
In addition, Guocoland's associate company Vintage Heights SB (VHSB) is disposing of a parcel of land in Sepang for RM475.0m. Upon completion of the disposal, VHSB is expected to realise a net gain on disposal of approximately RM290m, said Guocoland, adding that approximately RM116m is expected to be attributable to Guocoland for FYE 30 June 2017. Since the VP letters for Damansara Foresta were sent out on 31 Dec 2015 as per its Facebook, L&G can be expected to report strong and bumper earnings for its current FY ending 31 Mach 2016. Hopefully higher dividend of say 4 sen per share will be declared too for its shareholders. Otherwise, the BOD should be sacked given its weak share price which has been dropping for the last 15 months

Phase One (1) will be implementation of road infrastructure, jetty and the
relevant power supply plant and water absorption area. Phase Two (2) will

Having the strongest shareholder (EPF) backing this company, chances shall be high for the share price to move back up to the TP of RM1.60 as recommended by some research houses.
Furthermore, it has achieved > RM330 mil net profit ( EPS:17sen ) for the first 9 months of FY2015.
