Highway concessionaires reportedly not happy with the government’s MLFF proposal

The report also said that the private company will not only implement, operate, and maintain the MLFF system but will also be involved in the toll collection. Furthermore, the majority shareholder of the company is an unnamed local conglomerate that has interests in the power, telecommunications, and construction businesses.

When the price is Rm0.65, EPS per year is 6 cents.
Now the price is RM2.29, because EPS per quarter will more than 6 cents.
This is fundamental.

The coming QR will decide, the share price will continually goes up or not.
If eps per Q is around 7-8 cents, RM 2.90 is achievable. PAT is 600m
If eps per Q is 10 cents or more, RM 4 sure will not be a dream. PAT is 800m.

A few main points could look into during the next QR.
1. The normalize profit from PowerSeraya especially post TPC. I think the EMA is not quite satisfied with the effectiveness of TPC. This means that the profit still higher than expected by EMA. Due to the free competition market principle, the EMA should not strengthen the TPC, so, the EMA need to do something else.

On Oct 23, Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry and EMA decided to set up an entity (Gasco) that will centralise the procurement and supply of gas for the power sector. Profit margins would, therefore, need to be driven mainly by plant efficiencies. We do not expect any notable impact on YTLP’s near-term earnings, but longer-term margins could normalise from the elevated levels enjoyed in recent quarters. https://theedgemalaysia.com/node/688302

So, the performance of PowerSeraya in 1QRFY2024 will be the key reference for future QR until the end of 2025. Hopefully the EMA is unable to secure the gas price lower than the cost purchased by PowerSeraya in this coming 2 years. During this high oil price, it should be impossible to do so.

2. The actual profit from APCO, Jordan in a quarter. Coming quarter is the first quarter both units of power generator are fully functioning in a quarter period of time.

3. How will YES perform, better or maintain.

4. Will dividend been declared every quarter like old good day? If yes, will it be 3.5 cents per quarter? Since YTL will received 9.5 cents during this FY.

Hopefully EPS will fall between 7-8 cents coming QR, around 600m PAT or better.
