I just Googled “what percentage of people lose money in the stock market” and the answer was 90%.
There is an old but famous joke about stocks and the stock market. If you have lost some money in the stock market and feel bad about it, don’t worry. Ask somebody you know about their losses in the stock market, and you will feel better that you lost less money.
While this joke has been going around for several decades now and is still quite relevant because there is absolutely no shortage of people who lose money in stock markets daily. According to popular estimates, as much as 90% of people lose money in stock markets, including both new and seasoned investors.
People often lose money in the markets because they don't understand economic and investment market cycles. Business and economic cycles expand and decline. The boom cycles are fueled by a growing economy, expanding job market, and other economic factors.
People also often lose money in the markets because they let emotions—mainly fear and greed—drive their investing. Moreover, they often lose money, because they are not lucky. Luck is when preparedness meet opportunity.
You must remember that our ultimate aim in life is happiness and the key to happiness is contentment. Don’t be greedy and take risk in the stock market.

Mr Ooi Teik Bee has warned me that he would break his friendship with me if I posted any article to depress Hengyuan share price. Despite his warning I posted my article namely " Hengyuan is dropping continuously". My sole intention is to advise investors to sell as soon as possible to save their hard earned money or life savings. Mr Ooi is an expert in charting and he teaches charting for a tuition fee. He also sells his weekly circular letters for Rm 1,000 per year. Up till now, he has not advised all his subscribers to sell Hengyuan. Hengyuan share price chart is showing that it started to drop from Rm 7.39 on 17th May to the current level of Rm 4.50. It has already dropped Rm 2.89 or about 40% in the last one month. Why OTB cannot see the down trend price chart??? Why doesn't he advise all his subscribers to sell???
In fact, about 5 years ago, I asked my college mate Ng Eng Hean to let Mr Ooi to manage his investment for the requested fee. He told Mr Ooi to sell Hengyuan yesterday and lost a lot of money. Currently Hengyuan is still plunging. Even financial Institutions and syndicates cannot stop the price from dropping. Koon Yew Yin

My important observation is that the company reported 16.15 sen EPS is for 2 months instead of 3 months because the company wanted to change its financial year from ending in July to December. Hiap Teck reported reduced profit in each of the last 5 quarters. It is hopeless!!! Among all the stock selection criteria such as NTA, cash flow, cash rich or debt etc profit growth is the most important consideration. Profit growth prospect is the most powerful factor to push up share price. HT do not have profit growth. You should sell and use your sale proceeds to better use. I have written about it before. I wish to confirm what calvintaneng said about his advice to sell Jaya Tiasa in 2014 at Rm 2.70. In 2014 Jaya Tiasa has only about 55,000 planted hectares and currently JT has about 70,000 hectares. JT is very much undervalued. Based on the current market capitalization it is about Rm 15,000 per hectare or Rm 6,000 per acre. Where can you buy land at Rm 6,000 an acre??? All must read my last 3 articles. A few less informed investors said that whenever I post buy recommendation they should sell. In any case, these small investors cannot push up the price because the daily traded volume is tens of million shares. KYY

This is the latest announcement by Jaya Tiasa "KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 21): Jaya Tiasa Holdings Bhd’s net profit swelled to RM51.07 million for the second quarter ended Dec 31, 2021 (2QFY22), 11 times the RM4.63 million it made in the year-ago corresponding quarter, on higher average selling prices for fresh fruit bunches (FFB) and crude palm oil.
The plantation group's earnings per share jumped to 5.28 sen from 0.48 sen, its bourse filing on Monday (Feb 21) showed. Revenue rose 57.93% to RM239.24 million, from RM151.49 million in 2QFY21.
The group said ASP of FFB grew 68% year-on-year, while the ASP for CPO rose 45%. No dividend was declared for the latest reporting quarter. Compared to the immediate preceding quarter of 1QFY22, the group's net profit doubled from RM24.57 million, as revenue rose 63.87% from RM146 million, thanks to a 40% increase in sales volume, and a 39% rise in the ASP of CPO.
For the six months ended Dec 31, 2021 (6MFY22), Jaya Tiasa made a net profit of RM75.64 million, up 91.6% from RM39.8 million in 6MFY21, while revenue rose to RM385.24 million from RM372.58 million.
Moving forward, Jaya Tiasa said its oil palm segment is expected to perform well, in view of strong palm oil prices.
“The 20% restrictions on palm oil export imposed by the major palm oil producing country (Indonesia) should continue to support the current buoyant palm oil prices for the remaining quarters of FY22,” it said.
However, the group noted that FFB production is expected to be affected by the shortage of workforce and off-peak season, but added that it expects current high palm oil prices to cushion the financial impact of the reduction in crop production.
“Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the group anticipates satisfactory financial performance for the remaining quarters of the FY22,” it added. yewyin33

I agree with Mr Ooi Teck Bee's comment on the AYS price chart. He said The technical chart of AYS is still an up trending stock.
The share price of AYS is still higher than 200-day SMA.
MACD showed a buy signal, likewise Parabolic SAR also showed a buy signal.
On 2nd Dec AYS dropped to 52.5 sen and since then it has been going up to close at 65.5 sen yesterday. It has gone up 13 sen or 25% in the last 14 trading days. Yet, cckiong, Koo San and positiontrader are telling you to sell. Based on their sell advice, they must be losing money. They must examine their track record to see why they are still so poor. They must pay to learn charting from MR Ooi Teck Bee.

HIGHCHAPERAL and you should attend FA and TA lessons given my MR Ooi Teck Bee.
AYS has been going up in the last few days when I started buying. This is the best buying opportunity when its trend is changing from down trend to uptrend.

As I said earlier, I started selling at 91 sen about 5 week ago when AYS started dropping. I continued selling until it has reached rock bottom 52 sen so that I have a lot of money to buy back at cheaper price. A few days ago when I saw its trend reversal, I started buying. I openly wrote down trading for public information.
I wrote all these down so that those especially HIGHCHAPERAL who have bought my share when I sold can learn a good lesson. I have nothing to hide. I did not hide behind a fictitious name. Remember to sell when it is down trend and buy when it is up trend. The best time to buy is at the trend reversal pivoting point.

If the buyer of the 38 million AYS shares were to sell or buy he has to report because he is a substantial shareholder according to Bursa rule.
A substantial shareholder is an investor who has more than 5% of the total issued shares.

Yesterday I bought about 1.5 million AYS at cheaper prices. It started dropping from 91 sen about 5 weeks ago and I was following the price chart to sell so that I have money to buy back at lower prices. Currently I am queuing to buy but the price is going up. It looks like its price has dropped to rock bottom yesterday.
The reason I bought so many AYS is because it reported EPS 15 sen for 1st half year. The company made this profit of 15 sen during MCO lockdown. Currently there is no more MCO lockdown, its 2nd half profit should be better. Even if its 2nd half profit is the same as its 1st half, its annual profit will be 30 sen EPS. It is selling at PE 2.
I am so confident the share price will go up is because the company placed out 38 million shares at 76 sen. The buyer of 38 million shares must know the company's profit growth prospect and management very well before he bought so many AYS shares.

What is the use of boasting when you are still so poor???
If you are really smart, please point out my mistakes in each of my articles on AYS so that we can discuss logically for the benefit of all the readers.
I am not ashamed to admit that I have to sell some of my holdings to meet margin calls. I hope it has dropped to rock bottom.

I just I rang Leon Fuat tel. 03-33753333 and Hiap Teck tel. 03-337788888. Both these companies are closed. Last week, I also did the same and found that both these companies were closed. You can ring up to verify what I said. If they are closed for so long, they cannot report increased profit in the next few quarters.
Even if they can produce steel and steel products, construction companies do not need them because all their construction works have stopped. Just open your eyes you can see there are so many construction works are in a stand still.
I just rang Dennis Tan, Secretary General of Master Builders Association, Malaysia to confirm what I just said. You can call tel 6019-3316282 to verify what I just said.
Among all the stock selection criteria such as NTA, cashflow, dividend yield, debts or healthy balance sheet, the most powerful catalyst to push up share price is profit growth prospect.
All the steel companies do not have profit growth prospect.
Investors must not buy any steel stock which does not have profit growth prospect because when it reports reduced profit many smart investors will rush to sell their holdings.
As all investors know that all steel companies have reported increased profit for the last quarter ending March 2021 and they are selling at PE 2. They are undervalued based on their previous profit.
Unfortunately, many less informed investors are buying them based on their previous quarterly profit. They are undervalued and look very cheap but they will remain cheap until they can report increased profit.
Investors should wait to see their next quarter result which will be announced before end of August. Patience is the key for successful investment. Koon Yew Yin

I wish to take advantage of this opportunity to boast or to shame myself. I was a co-founder of IJM Corporation Bhd. In the early 1980s, we had a road construction contract from the Sabah government. The road went through a neglected oil palm plantation. All the palm trees were half dead. The government offered to sell us the whole estate at Rm 700 per acre with all the workers quarters free of charge. We bought the whole estate and we bought additional land at Rm 700 per acre. We employed Velayuthan Tan to take charge of the plantation. He is a younger brother of Tan Sri Krishnan Tan who is currently the Chairman Of IJM Corp.
We continued to buy more land and constructed a palm oil mill. Eventually we listed the company namely IJM Plant Bhd.
The total issued shares is 880 million shares and IJM owned 52% of the total issued shares which is about 458 million shares. A few days ago, KLK made an offer to IJM to buy up all the 52% of the total issued shares at Rm 3.10 per share. The total transaction is worth Rm 1,420,000,000. The share was selling below Rm 2.00 before KLK's offer. Unfortunately I sold all my shares long ago. Shameful

My purpose for making this comment is to teach you how to select growth stock to make money. I am not asking you to buy Dayang to support the share price. Whether you buy or sell will not affect the price because the daily volume is tens of million shares. For example, today 92 million shares transacted with 17 sen increase in price.
I have posted many articles to encourage readers to buy Dayang because it complies with my golden rule for share selection. It has reported 2 consecutive quarters of increasing profit and its projected PE is less than 10.
I remember in my first article I said I was buying when KWAP was selling. Since then its price has gone up more than 200%. Until yesterday, I was slowly accumulating. Even today, I did not sell because I believe it can easily reach Rm 2 with a few months.
I am happy to see only 2 critics namely rr88 and Dcmh who have sold Dayang so early. I am sure they are leaking their wounds.

I refer to Veron_teo's remark. I am not so dishonest to sell Dayang when I have posted so many articles to encourage readers to buy. Please see my latest article in which I complain to Securities Commission about the 3 investment banks downgraded Dayang to sell. They must have colluded among themselves to publish the articles on the same day 19th March which caused the price to plunge 24 sen. I suspect they depressed the price so that they can buy at cheaper prices.
In any case, whether you sell or buy it does not affect the share price because the daily volume is tens of million shares.

On 10 Aug I posted my article “Why did I sell all my Hibiscus shares?”. I am ashamed to admit my mistake. This morning I just Googled “Hibiscus oil production chart” and I saw Hibiscus crude oil production chart below:
This morning I also Googled “Brent Crude oil price chart” and I saw Brent Crude oil price chart above.
When the company can increase oil production as shown on the oil production chart and also can sell its oil production at the higher price as shown on the oil price chart, the company should continue to report increasing profit for the next few quarters. As a result, its share price should go up higher and higher.
