@Happy3933... My guess is that its telling the market not to sell at 2.5 sen... something good is cooking. Its telling them to hang on...

@fastranger... I almost forgot to explain why I always emphasised... after the AGM. This is because for whatever Perisai do, they must be empowered by law or their constitution. It is at this AGM they are seeking for this authority. It is only after the company is empowered, can they announce the corporate plans they have for Perisai. Its a legally bound corporate restructuring... Anyway, welcome back @fastranger. Good to have you around

@fastranger... I am with you. Its okay if others cannot agree with us. Its a forum for healthy exchange of opinions. Tune will change after the AGM. We can expect many announcements by Perisai or its IB on the corporate measures to be taken make Perisai profitable again. @fastranger... Just relax till then (though we have waited from the early part of the year).

@scwmike8... At the AGM, ask the BOD of the corporate restructuring exercise. Ask about the shares consolidation, loan stocks, rights issue & the free warrants. Will Perisai then be financially healthier after the corporate exercise? Ask also if Bursa will delist Perisai after the corporate exercise. @fastranger is not talking nonsense. Get these answers at the AGM which is a few days away. Satisfy yourself by attending the AGM personally. Thank you & don't forget to share your thoughts with us.

@Mabel... This is speculative but hopefully it's a dream come true. In the event Rights issue becoming true, the market price will have to rise upwards. The underwriters or the IB's will see to it. Without the price moving up, retail investors will not be encouraged to participate in the exercise. Cheers

@scwmike8...I would suggest you attend the 16th AGM. Views from the BOD on the direction of the company is for your asking. Don't forget to share it with us. Regards

What's in store for Barakah after the coming AGM is going to be interesting. They are finally taking measures to lift themselves out of financial distress state. The corporate restructuring exercise will see Barakah in general, adopting measures such as shares consolidation, issuing loan stock, rights issue & warrants. The exercise will see Barakah reborn into a debt-free company. Meaning, we have one less challenges ahead. To me, its a good start for 2020...

@Happy3933 & @Mabel... it has been a good rest. On a serious note, if you go through the circular Barakah issued for the upcoming AGM, especially on its new constitution you can tell Barakah is instituting corporate restructuring exercise after winning approval from it's shareholders. Elements of shares consolidation & rights issues will be incorporated in the restructuring. The interesting part is that Barakah will have to inform Bursa, latest the following day the approval received from its shareholders. From what I can see, backroom measures are already in place to put Barakah in a healthy position to face the challenges ahead. Cheers

@ronaldolow5479... What you heard will become official once Perisai announced it thereafter after the AGM. There will be no immediate consolidation of shares once Perisai resume trading. I am not ruling it out at a later stage.
2019-11-10 20:31 | Report Abuse
@ronaldolow5479... Perisai need to be remained as a listed entity. Executing O&G projects needs a lot of money. It is easier to get financing if you are listed. Perisai will not work against itself. It has all to gain by remaining listed. This, I am very confident...

@ronaldolow5479... Yes. Perisai will be back. I must also add... it's medicines prescribed to gain its health can be expensive to us.
2019-11-10 18:53 | Report Abuse
@ronaldolow5479... It is not a lousy plan. Its just not to Bursa's satisfaction. Perisai have been in consultation with Bursa for guidance on this issue the last few months. This point is in the AGM booklet.
2019-11-10 15:03 | Report Abuse
@ronaldolow5479... The objectives are the same. Both are to put Perisai in a firmer footing & better financial health. However, the medicines to be prescribed for the recovery process can be a little bitter in taste.

@ronaldolow5479...I agree with you. Let's all wait until the completion of the AGM. Things will be clearer then.

A Corporate exercise will be instituted after the passing of all resolutions at the 16th AGM this Nov 28th. This corporate exercise will then be submitted to Bursa for approval. You can expect the lifting of the suspension thereafter. I am confident Perisai will not be de-listed...

In drawing up 5-years or annual marketing plan, assumptions are used. Drawing up corporate exercises, assumptions are also used. In economics, assumptions are widely used. What's the setbacks in assumptions?

@Mabel... Many thanks for the post. What I meant by contacting Petronas is actually writing an email to them... on behalf of the many retail shareholders of Barakah. See if they are polite enough to reply...
2019-10-25 22:37 | Report Abuse
@Mabel... Do you think it's a good idea to contact Petronas directly for their comments on the status of Barakah? It will indirectly reduce the number of assumptions we have. I will not be surprised if.... No Comment, is their reply.
2019-10-25 12:16 | Report Abuse
@Mabel... If I may add, I believe Petronas have never question the technical expertise of Barakah in implementing its projects. Its frustration with Barakah is strictly financials. O&G business are highly geared. This is also another reason why I find the suspension a very extreme act & unjustified. Regards
2019-10-24 14:25 | Report Abuse
@T800... Petronas, being part of the government's entity, has the responsibility to develop the O&G industry in Malaysia. It is obvious the many benefits to the country if home-grown companies are nurtured to be world's best. Reprimanding a company to the extent of seeing it going bankrupt is against such policies.
2019-10-23 23:01 | Report Abuse
@Happy3933... with the latest on Exim Bank, I had this question playing in my mind... Would Petronas want to be responsible in making a bumiputera-run O&G company going bankrupt or to guide the company to greater heights. If Petronas were to choose the former, Petronas will go down in history as the most irresponsible Government-owned oil company of the world. I am not one who believes Petronas to be that irresponsible. As a result Exim Bank action, I am of the opinion Petronas will consider urgently withdrawing the suspension against Barakah. Cheers

The issue with Exim Bank has been in the market for a long time already. Its nothing new. I wouldn't be too concerned with this as the market has long discounted such news. @Happy3933... I will be there if it ever drops to 2.0 sen... Cheers
