Opinion aplenty. Ask yourself what is the best solution out for Perisai. I must emphasised that Perisai has a debt of RM1.2 billion. Every one knows without the listing status, Perisai will immediately go into liquidation. Whatever can be said, I still strongly believe Perisai will not be de-listed. And re-listing Perisai is not against the law. Cheers

Only Bursa. If you are listed on Bursa then you play by their rules. Hope you can appreciate the differences between rules, guidelines & laws... Cheers

Yes, if Bursa were to decide strictly based on it's conditions set & profitability, Perisai which is a distress company due to the economic downturn since 2014, need to be de-listed. No doubt about it. I know for one, shutting down listed companies arbitrarily is not the role of Bursa. You guys actually have the answer... Cheers

@Happy3933... That loss of RM269 is for a 18-months period, not 12 months. Barakah has changed its financial period. The current report is for a 3-months period... Cheers

Legal matters... Zaid Ibrahim is showing his mark in Barakah. He is definitely adding value to Barakah. Barakah will have lots of stories to tell us at the AGM...

The next stage after receiving approvals to all its resolutions is for the Investment Bank (IB) to come out with a rescue plan for submission to Bursa. Perisai is not able to submit the Corporate Regularisation Plan as expected to Bursa because of the P Kamelia issue. For as long as it is being detained, P Kamelia cannot be in service to generate revenue or bidding for contracts.
It is not only us, the retail shareholders who are anxious on the listing status of Perisai, the secured & unsecured Creditors are equally anxious. The long list of Creditors includes commercial banks both local & foreign.
Is Perisai too big to fail... Let's hope for the best

@Happyflow8888... We wait till Dec 31 to see the response from Bursa.
2019-11-28 15:49 | Report Abuse
From what I gather & the reason why the Management were cautious in their replies... is centred on Perisai Kamelia, Perisai's key asset. As we all know P Kamelia is currently detained and not in operation though the Management is currently working to uplift the detention. This is the only condition I believe Perisai is not able to fulfil. As a result Perisai's listing status hinges on Bursa's kind consideration.
Implications to arise if Perisai is de-listed as a result of P Kamelia issue. .. Corporate restructuring exercise will collapsed & RM1.2 billion debts will never be recovered.
Yes, I am still confident Perisai will not be de-listed. Just encountering challenges along the way.

Things don't look encouraging as the Management have repeatedly stated that the final say in re-listing lies with Bursa. 2 conditions have been given for Perisai to comply.

@scwmike8... Never evaluate a company strictly based on its profitability. Its just theory. Businesses are subject to economic cycles. The world crude oil plunged in 2014. Perisai became a distress company as a result of the economic downturn. Things are definitely looking brighter now... economically. Perisai is a turnaround company... after this Thursday. Perisai will be profitable again... no doubt about that.
