Review the company's results - look for low PE with moderate to high EPS, and make sure it is a profitable company.
Also, read the price target reports to get better insights on what research houses think about this company.
That is the approach that I use for fundamental analysis. Of course, this need to be combined with some technical analysis and the current market trend to maximize profitability.
