Thanks bro kcfan. Don't worry, just holding to some good stocks and ignoring all noises and short term market gyrations. The above don't apply if worldwide markets go into great depression :)
It took me a while to learn meaning of margin of safety. Got that, and sleeping easy despite the downturn! Made the mistake with presbhd though. I bought it fully valued. But then, using dividend money only for the small position! Wife didn't say no dinner! LoL
Here is my plan. DJIA surely will breaking new high during end of October due to US Presidential election. This 'phenomenon' happens in every US election. So about mid October the momentum is building, i guess. Teori aje, baca boleh tapi jangan percaya. heeee
Remember girl girl, must have thick face and stand firm like aunties in pasar malam. Wait til Mr Market offers you the price you want or walk away. Easier said than done when market is so noisy especially uptrend! But you must really know your fundamentals first, failing which you are just shooting numbers in the air!
You are Auntie material, you should do well! Hehehe
It is because I too aggressive ,like chicken without head, simply buy buy buy,no more next time, will wait for the big sale only buy, hehehe(need more time to learn what the price suitable to enter with the counters that I interest, hehe)
Not so sure yet. Maybe we are very innovative in our accounting. Does this figure include govt. agencies debts? Govt. guarantees ? Any owing to the EPF etc?
Very soon we are going into the same shoe as Greece & Spain. Our gov keep spending the public fund. Dont forget our EPF and those invested with gov. trusts fund will be jeopardised too. May be we also will be at least as what USA is experiencing now.
Start printing money again to pay the interest of the public money.:)
Malaysia just 50% from its GDP compare to Spain 79.5% , hahaha about compare to our immediate neibour Singapore or Indonesia or Thailand . ............ lol .
S&P futures were flat at 7:15am ET when Draghi said that the economic slowdown had reached Germany. We dropped about 10 points in the aftermath. (Read more: ECB's Draghi: Euro Zone Slowdown Hurting Germany)
You can't blame it all on Germany. Our markets opened weak, but then kept dropping.
That's not good. Volume has been heavy in major ETFs like the SPDR S&P 500 [SPY 139.72 -3.24 (-2.27%) ]; there were heavy volume attempts to hold the S&P at 1400 right after 10, but when it dropped below that shortly before 11am ET volume again picked up.
Bottom line: anyone who has bought stocks today has gotten trapped. Many traders who trade on a daily basis bought earlier looking for a mid-morning bottom, followed by a bounce off the bottom. That is not happening. (Read more: Stocks Dive 2%; Dow Skids 300, S&P Breaks 1400)
Will the calvalry come to the rescue and reward everyone who bought them? There's still time, but the longer it takes, the more likely it becomes that everyone takes a loss and dumps their stocks.
So instead of a run to the sun, with stocks going up into the close, you could have a dash to cash.
Why the pessimism? Some are simply disappointed and disillusioned — it's hard to describe the dislike that Obama engenders among many on Wall Street. Then there's this comment from a trader: "also don’t forget that tax selling now has a HUGE implication...15% cap gain tax is like a dinosaur..."
(Read more: Dismayed at Obama Win but…Good for Stocks: Gartman)
And, finally, I really do hate to bring up Apple, but at 10:50am or so, Apple [AAPL 558.0019 -22.1976 (-3.83%) ] saw a volume surge and moved down as it hit $564. What's that. That is exactly a 20 percent correction from the historic high of $705.07 on September 12.
One cause for hope: the market appears to have bottomed exactly as Europe closed at 11:30am. That would suggest much of the selling has come out of Europe.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
