Hustle, my way of playing contra only applies to stock which i think is fundamentally strong. I dunno about MAS, but from what i know, the management is always a suspect!

why fundamentally strong? in case you have a mis-time, at least you know in your hands you are holding something worthwhile keeping!

sorry if i cannot help you much on MAS. I think you dont see me posting there except complaining about their bloated staff and excesses!

yup, now a timely article that came out as reminder why debt-to-GDP is viewed in another way by economists. (that is if you believe Donald Lim's figures). Notice Singapore's public debt level?


"As of December 2011, our country's total debt is RM450bil which translates to about RM16,000 per individual, which appears high, but the country counts its debt according to the debt-to-GDP ratio which in comparison with other countries, we are doing alright,” he said, noting that the United States and Singapore debt levels were more than 100%."

Singh is more of a soothsayer or fortune teller in this forum...
He predicts the future by magical and intuitive means. His RM3 Digi is one very good example. This way, he is misleading the masses. He is more of a prognosticator than an investor when making projections n forecasting.

Our market it very artificially supported. One big crash will come. You just wait and see. Epf selling non core stocks like nobody's business. Only pushing certain illiquid stocks to boost up the market. Just ask your broker. Retailer how many of them making money in this so called bull run. All bullshit. Trust me, the big dive will come soon. Shorting the market now is the best bet
