Totally agree that breaking up a big entity to smaller entities will bring about effective and efficient management decision making and weeding out bureaucratic delays. You also have the right mix of people to run each entity as compare to the original big clumsy entity where the one making the decision might have no knowledge about the various type of businesses that is being run (remember the idiom: Jack of all trade and master of none). Breaking up is the way to go for Sime Darby, HapSeng, and others which had became big, clumsy and non performing.
