EPF being so experienced body even lose out to Amanah Saham. What they earned were not given rewarded to contributors. Why ASB and even other funds can pay more dividends but EPF can't.

ASB unitholders to get 7.75 sen dividend, 1.15 sen bonus

Why LTAT can pay so much and EPF can't. Which one has a longer track record. And it is our money. Well, I withdraw whatever I can under their guidelines. If I lose it's my own fault. I won't blame them.

but EPF dabbles in the stock market, buy properties, bail out companies. these are not big risks?

It is nothing to do with bigger risk, just good management, good KPIs' and no interference from Government.

ASB , LUTH are not in the list. refer here: http://www.kwsp.gov.my/portal/ms/web/kwsp/member/members-savings-investment-withdrawal/appointed-fund-management-institutions-unit-trust-fund-under-the-epf-s-members-investment-scheme

Some of the unit trusts here give more than 20% return annually.

Unit trusts also cutthroat. The idea is Noble but they charged 6% for buying. On top of that the annual management fees. Then they only give you a little bit over what the current FD rates offer. One fund company has more than 30 yrs of experience yet they only offer so little. Shame on them. But they take their agents on annual overseas tours with 6 dinners.

I didnt say more than 20%. Maybe ahmadkerl was referring to accumulated earnings, including bonus dividends.

I refer to 5 year annualised return. But If you take only 1 year, last year was a very good for investment. I refer to this site:

of course they will give good returns during bull years. last year (even last 5 years) practically every tom, dick and harry made money. but what about the lean years?
