Hi calvin! Wat does it means a life of frugality? I find oxford dictionary frugal is adjective word but i cannot understand wat does it means. May u explain? Thank q very much.

The word frugal?
Let me illustrate

Warren Buffet is the 3rd most richest man on earth today. Yet he lives frugally.
He bought a second hand car instead of new. New car will lose lots of money when name change from 1st to 2nd owner.

He also ate simple breakfast like $3 mcdonald burger.

Same goes for Igvar Kamprad. The founder of Ikea. Though Top in Top 10 Billionaire list. He only drive an old Volvo. Also take bus to work. He also buy used 2nd hand clothes from flea market.

Li Ka Shing also frugal because he wears Seiko watch. Later upgraded to a Citizen watch worth $400 whereas his business friends wear Rolex watches worth many times more

That means that a frugal person live simply, cheaply although he may be very very rich in like.

Another way of putting it is the word "economical"

Some people like to eat expensive seafood like lobster, alaskan crabs and others costing hundreds of dollars.

While others live and eat frugally like "economical" rice served in Roadside hawker center. Rice with 1 meat and 2 vege serving costing less than Rm5 to Rm6.00?
