KUALA LUMPUR: Dewan Rakyat Speaker Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof has accepted the proposal by former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad for a motion of no confidence against his successor Muhyiddin Yassin.
In a statement, he said he had accepted the proposal in line with Standing Order 27(3).

So May 18 showdown is ON

It's nothing new. Happened before during PM3 Hussein Onn but he survived. He subsequently resigned. Vote of no confidence against sitting PM also happens elsewhere in many parts of the world. However, 2 points here I'd like to state. If atuk succeeds, he will have a Malaysia book of record of dethroning many PMs. And the timing that it is done, during covid pandemic, I think people are tired of all these politics and atuk's antiques. It is the economy stupid, hundreds of thousands of people lose their jobs and the whole country is suffering economically

Good job speaker. This will end everything. If Muhiden lost Agong will call for GE 15. Muafakat Nasional have huge chances of winning and even destroy Pakatan forever. Anwar will forever hancur including PH. Mahathir will kalah teruk if newly appointed opposition leader want PH to vote in block. Kesian Anwar & Mahathir. But paling kesian Rakyat Malaysia. Let give the country to Agong. So that agong can manage this country. No need politician.

We have no choice. We have PH who very obsess with backdoor. They dont think about rakyat. They only think about backdoor and how to make Anwar as Malaysia PM. Mahathir obsess to become PM forever. What to do. this is what rakyat have to deal will. The sad story of Malaysia after the collapse of BN govt starting from GE14 until now. Always rakyat are suffering.
