And also chip manufacturing is jist half of the work. Designing the chip architecture mostly US, not Taiwan. No point having advance manufacturing capabilities if you dont have advance chip designing patents and knowledge

There's more money in chip designing than in chip manufacturing, so a lot of US companies just design then outsource manufacturing to Taiwan. That's why US lagged behind Taiwan in manufacturing chips, they focused on the most profitable but hardest part: designing chip architecture.

So even if the chips were manufactured in Taiwan, the design and commissioning of the chip are from US companies, which makes them US exports lmao. Calling those chips Taiwanese exports is as dumb as calling iPhone a Chinese export XD. Apple is a US company who R&D the iphone, china just manufacture their product because cheap labour.

Yes they can, Intel manufacturers advance chips (they also design them). Texas Instruments, Micro technologies, Broadcom ,etc., all US companies that manufacture chips. Taiwan just does it better. South Korea produces mainly flash storage chips, not CPUs.

Also, don't mix up designing chips and manufacturing them. Completely different skill set. While Taiwan is better at manufacturing, US still dominates designing chips, which is more profitable.
