My ex-colleague visited his son who is a US citizen well before covid. He stayed there for 3 months. When he came back to M'sia, I asked him if he consider migrating to US. He told me, "if you have lots of money, young and in good health, US is very enjoyable. If you do not have all these blessing, do not migrate".

Admiral Cheng Ho from China in 15th century had the fleet capable of conquering Melaka but only came to Melaka to trade and for diplomacy.
