MY OPINION IS OUR PEOPLE FROM MALAYSIAN INSTITUTE OF ACCOUNTANTS ARE JUST SLEEPING. THEIR OPINIONS ARE NEVER SOUGHT BY THE MINISTRY AT ALL. MIA IS A BODY THAT REGULATES ALL THE ACCOUNTING AND BOOK KEEPING FUNDAMENTALS THAT INCLUDE PRIME DOCUMENTS LIKE INVOICING, SALES AND PURCHASES ADJUSTMENTS AND ALL ACCRUALS AND PROVISIONS IN OUR DAILY ACCOUNTING WORKS. BUT THEY JUST KEEPING QUIET. DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY. THOSE DAYS WHEN GST WAS IMPLEMENTED, THETY TOO KEPT QUIET AND HAVING A VERY LOW PROFILE.

Dr Wee also said it was curious to see the term "refund note" on LHDN's MyInvois e-invoicing portal.

"What is this? We have heard of credit notes and debit notes, but have not found this term anywhere else in accounting.

EVERYBODY JUST KEEPING QUIET, LETTING THE LHDN & KASTAM TO DO THE IMPLEMENTATION AND LATER FORCED THE SOFTWARE PROGRAMMERS TO SORT THEM OUT THROUGH TRIALS AND ERRORS. PEOPLE WHO USE THE ACCOPUNTING SOFTWARES ALL BLURRED BLURRED, JUST FOLLOW. SO SAD.

Just because he speaks, doesn't mean what he say makes no sense. I agreed with his explanations and there are so many hurdles for SMEs to clear, when Govt should be making it easy for them to focus on businesses instead scared of being fined for unintentional omissions or wrong invoices.
