Covid test kit is a repeating business. Patient may have to run few time tests.

Worker also may have to run more than 2 times test.

Eventhough vaccine will be on board in the market, after injection with vaccine will still have to run covid test regularly.

Kgroup has this capable to do it and kgroup has completed its fund raising to purchase more PCR test kit from korea.

Coming next, i believe kgroup will distribute to immigration and border check point when airline is open.

Kgroup market cap is only at RM 108Million which is very cheap. Because Kgroup has done its fund raising exercise with nearly RM 75Million (PP + ESOS + Right issue)

Reference is made to the Company’s announcement dated 22 May 2020, 28 May 2020, 19 June 2020 and 10 July 2020 whereas Key Alliance Sdn Bhd (“KASB”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company has been appointed as representative of ITDF Co Ltd (“ITDF”), as a local partner to effect the registration, and carry out marketing and distribution of the Care Gene Covid-19 RT PCR Kit, produced by Wells Bio Inc (“Appointment”).

 

The Board of Directors of KAG are delighted to announce that KASB today has received the results of its Wells Bio Inc Care Gene RT PCR test kit from the Institute of Medical Research (“IMR”). The results showed 100% sensitivity and 100% specificity for the Care Gene RT PCR test kit, and has been earmarked as compliant to IMR's parameters for usage. 

 

The IMR approval coupled with KASB’s initial approvals with the Ministry of Health's Medical Device Authority (“MDA”) means that KASB is allowed to distribute and sell the Care Gene RT PCR Kit to laboratories, hospitals and other end users. 

 

In addition, KASB has received indicative queries from various third-party agencies looking to distribute to medical facilities, GLCs and other government agencies, amounting to 500,000 test kits. KASB is currently in discussions with various parties on concrete commercial agreements and will update the market accordingly.

Referring to the recent announcement, there could be potential order of 500,000 test kits. Each test kit maybe cost RM150 - RM200. That is about RM100 million in revenue for the company! Previous quarter results only less than RM 10 million. This will contribute significantly
