SapuraOMV Upstream announces stable production from its operated Bakong gas field project under the SK408 Production Sharing Contract (PSC), which was delivered within budget. The production phase started in June 2020. This follows the successful production from SapuraOMV‘s Larak gas field which started in December 2019 and the start-up of the Shell-operated Gorek field in May 2020. With this first production from Bakong field, Phase 1 of the SK408 development is now entirely on stream.

The SK408 gas fields are part of the discoveries made by SapuraOMV Upstream in a drilling campaign in 2014.  The Phase 1 development of SK408 PSC aims to commercialise the gas reserves from Larak, Gorek and Bakong fields. As per the upstream gas sales agreement with PETRONAS, SapuraOMV Upstream and its SK408 partners will supply gas from these fields to the PETRONAS LNG complex in Bintulu, Sarawak.

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 21 2017): Daya Materials Bhd has bagged a contract from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd for the provision of integrated production chemicals supply and services worth an estimated RM67 million.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Daya Materials said its 67%-owned subsidiary Daya Secadyme Sdn Bhd was awarded the contract for SK Oil — Miri Waters with a tenure of five years effective Dec 11. The contract comes with a one-year extension option.

The group said the details of the works involved will be addressed in a work order from time to time when supply of integrated production chemicals and services are required.

Malaysia’s construction company Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering has been awarded a contract to build an offshore processing platform for Petronas’ Bokor project, offshore Malaysia.

MMHE will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of a central processing platform (CPP) for the Bokor Phase 3 redevelopment project by Petronas Carigali. The contract value is worth approximately RM1.0 Billion ($226.7 million).

The first steel is expected to be cut in the third quarter of 2018. The project is scheduled to be completed in mid second quarter of 2020.

Upon completion, the new CPP will be installed at Bokor field located in Baram Delta, offshore Sarawak, in a water depth of 70 meters.

Malaysia started oil exploration activities in shallow waters in the 1970s and started active extraction and production in the 1980s till today. There are currently over 900 offshore platforms of which almost 600 of them are over 20 years old.

KUALA LUMPUR 17 NOV 2020: Daya Materials Bhd's subsidiary Daya Maxflo Sdn Bhd has received a letter of award from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd for the provision of downhole tools and services.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the Contract is to provide downhole imaging services which will be deployed on memory, real time or drill pipe conveyance system in both cased or open hole well for PCSB’s assets in East and West Malaysia.

The contract is for a duration of five years until Oct 22, 2025.

The quantity of work is on a "call-out" basis with work orders to be issues to Daya Maxflo when the services are required and at the discretion of Petronas Carigali based on the schedule of rates set forth in the contract.

The contract will have no effect on the issued and paid-up capital of the Company and is not expected to have a material effect on the earnings of Daya Materials group of companies for the financial year ending June 30, 2021, until the specific work orders is issued, it said.
