Kenyataan Akhbar KPK 15 Jun 2021 – Keputusan Mesyuarat Pihak Berkuasa Kawalan Dadah Kali Ke-359 Berkenaan Pendaftaran Vaksin COVID-19

Kementerian Kesihatan Kesihatan (KKM) ingin memaklumkan bahawa Mesyuarat Pihak Berkuasa Kawalan Dadah (PBKD) kali ke-359 telah bersidang pada hari ini, 15 Jun 2021.

Mesyuarat telah bersetuju memberikan kelulusan pendaftaran bersyarat untuk kegunaan semasa bencana bagi dua (2) produk vaksin yang memerlukan hanya satu (1) dos pelalian, iaitu Convidecia Recombinant Novel Coronavirus Vaccine (Adenovirus Type 5 Vector), keluaran CanSino Biologics Inc, China (pemegang pendaftaran produk: Solution Biologics Sdn. Bhd.) dan Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine keluaran Johnson & Johnson yang telah diberi kelulusan Penyenaraian Penggunaan Kecemasan (Emergency Use Listing atau EUL) oleh Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO). Pendaftaran Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine yang diperolehi oleh kerajaan Malaysia melalui fasiliti COVAX ini dilaksanakan melalui mekanisme perakuan (recognition) ke atas kelulusan WHO EUL.

Selain itu, PBKD turut meluluskan penggunaan vaksin Comirnaty keluaran Pfizer-BioNTech kepada golongan yang berumur 12 tahun dan ke atas. Comirnaty, sebelum ini diluluskan pendaftaran bersyarat pada 8 Januari 2021, digunakan bagi tujuan imunisasi aktif kepada individu yang berusia 18 tahun dan ke atas. Walaupun tambahan indikasi ini telah diluluskan, KKM berpandangan keutamaan pemberian vaksin masih lagi kepada kumpulan berisiko tinggi selaras dengan dasar sedia ada yang ditetapkan di bawah Program Imunisasi COVID-19 Kebangsaan (PICK).

KKM ingin memaklumkan bahawa kelulusan pendaftaran bersyarat ini memerlukan maklumat kualiti, keselamatan dan keberkesanan produk vaksin tersebut dipantau dan dinilai berdasarkan data-data terkini dari semasa ke semasa. Ia bagi memastikan perbandingan manfaat-risiko (benefit over risk) bagi produk-produk vaksin tersebut kekal positif.

KKM akan sentiasa mempertingkatkan tahap kesihatan awam dalam memerangi wabak COVID-19 melalui perolehan bekalan vaksin yang telah dinilai daripada aspek kualiti, keselamatan dan keberkesanan oleh Bahagian Regulatori Farmasi Negara (NPRA) dan diluluskan oleh PBKD. Kerajaan juga komited untuk memastikan penduduk Malaysia mencapai imuniti kelompok (herd immunity) selaras dengan sasaran PICK.
