BNM just revise the OPR rate higher. This doesn’t give a good reason to push this share price higher because all hire purchase rate will be higher and it affects car sales in general. Be cautious if you want to chase high.

Market is not rational... I doubt that OPR rate will impact the car sales because demand for car wont reduce by much as long as the public transport in Malaysia is not good enough.

OPR have impact only to luxury car, proton and perodua this kind of cheap car, ppl will buy for used not buy for keep, 10% interest rate ppl have to buy, otherwise buy motorcycle

Many of Proton cars are funded by hire purchase and mostly bought by middle income or lower income group, couple with sky high inflation (high oil price, high general goods and services) now, a higher hire purchase rate will definitely make people think twice when want to change or purchase a new car.
