A lot of uncertainty right now. At recent motor show, new brands coming in. Chery will soon be launching their Omoda 5 and Tiggo 8 Pro; next Great Wall launching their H6 & Jolian; below RM100k Neta electric cars coming into the market. Market getting very competitive and economy is slowing down; the future profitability is in question.

POS still suffering losses. Recently utilizing their location as convenience store. This is good thinking but risky. If they don't make money and venture fail, BIG write-off.
As for PROTON, a recent chat with a dealer reveal that that sales are not doing too well. Sales have shifted from their high margin X50 & X70 to the lower value cars. Response on X90 has not been encouraging. The dealers have to rely on service to help cover their overheads.

it is better to have Sodium Battery ( very safe, none explosive ) for EV. Saw so many exploding EV in China,
there no way any Driver can escape. Sodium Batteries are developed in China to replace Lithium( very explosive
in nature )

SEKINCHAN, July 19 — Chinese automobile manufacturer Geely will invest US$10 billion (RM45.3 billion) to turn Tanjung Malim, Perak, into the region’s largest auto city.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the aspiration, conveyed by the company in a letter to him last night, would create thousands of job opportunities for Malaysians.

Highest price RM2.98 set in 2012 and in
2019(not sure about high but above RM2.50).
Should have been a giant in automotive but ... as usual, GLCs quality and performance is well known. They are set up to provide employment and distribute wealth. aka syariah compliant company.

About competition, it's not so on types of modals n pricing of d cars! previously, it's d engines running on fossil fuel for cars but now it's on electricity for EV! As for this new era, d businesses are for those companies that can churned out endless availability of electrical energy for EV n at what price per kwh!
