We have seen April CPI to be at 4.9%, lower than last month by 0.1%, down from a recent peak of 9.1% in June 2022.

Core inflation, which excludes volatile food and energy prices (which has been widely seen as a better predictor of future inflation) was 5.5% in April, down from its recent 6.6% peak in September.

Maybe it is time for us as investors to look whether past rate hike have really help to bring down inflation.

Market did not really rally up after we have positive inflation data, so where could be another area we can look at by looking at how U.S. indexes react to different inflation data?
