In 2023 H1, Huawei generated CNY310.9 billion in revenue, with a year-on-year increase of 3.1% and a net profit margin of 15.0%. The company's ICT infrastructure business contributed CNY167.2 billion, its consumer business CNY103.5 billion, its cloud business CNY24.1 billion, its digital power business CNY24.2 billion, and its intelligent automotive solution (IAS) business CNY1 billion.

HUAWEI Technologies’ latest smartphone clearly demonstrates wireless speeds akin to Apple’s latest iPhones in numerous tests, as more details emerge about a gadget labelled a Chinese breakthrough despite US tech sanctions.

Testing by Bloomberg News of Huawei’s new US$900-plus flagship model shows bandwidth similar to other 5G phones. That aligned with blog posts and videos on Chinese social media that claimed the device came with 5G capabilities.

The gadget, which went on sale this week without the typical fanfare of a product launch, fanned patriotic fervour as it was seen to represent China’s ability to get around US sanctions.


Shenzhen-based Huawei has been at the centre of intensifying US trade curbs on Chinese businesses, which American officials say are based on national security concerns.

The Mate 60 Pro achieved speeds in excess of 350 Mbps or megabits-per-second in testing on China Mobile’s network in Hong Kong.

Videos posted to the Weibo social service showed the handset approaching 1 Gbps or gigabit-per-second.

BEIJING, Sept 1 (Reuters) - China's cyberspace regulator has received 110 applications from Chinese technology companies such as Huawei and Alibaba for approvals related to their generative artificial intelligence $(AI)$ models and products, it said on Friday.

The list published by the Cyberspace Administration of China $(CAC)$ highlights the demand for ChatGPT-like products in the world's second-largest economy.
