Why Vincent Tan need to dispose some Bjc shares based on the restructuring plan leh ?

At the moment VT hold Bjc as follows:

Directly...... 1283m
Indirect...... 1211m
Iculs 2022.....258m
Iculs 2026.....103m

Bland directly..96m

Number of Bjcorp share net of treasury 5020m

Thus current VT effective shareholding in Bjcorp is 1283m + 1211m = 2494m
VT shareholding As a % of overall Bjcorp shareholding 49.6% pa.


VT holding As a % of overall Bjcorp after iculs2022 matures 54.8%.

The above 54.8% will trigger GO when the iculs matures mah!
Thus VT need to dispose some Bjcorp shares to manage his shareholdings below 50% to avoid triggering GO mah!

Thats the reasons mix signal seen in the mkt, why VT disposing Bjc when it is undervalue and when bullish restructuring plan is coming by end of June loh!

Opportunity to collect bjc while still cheap loh!

stockraider, if VT is genuine, he could easily sell his shares to fund managers through direct negotiation rather than daily disposal. If he can't sell his shares to fund managers, that could only either he has some hanky panky behind the whole exercise or there's no trust among fund managers.

What VT has done is only trimmed his indirect holdings to friendly parties. 9 million shares is peanuts to VT as only valued at RM2.7 million @30 sens per share. He has not sold any of his direct shares of 1283 million while indirect shares 1211 million.

"Including today's transaction, he has cumulatively disposed of nine million indirect shares or 0.09% stake over the past two weeks."

Understand the fund managers mentality or not ??

For Fund managers, they will only buy when the price is up mah!

Thus for BJC to be up, it is better for VT to sell to his friendly who understand the big potential for now loh!

We do not need to tell the old fox VT & superstar fund manager Jalil, what to do mah, what we need to do is establish how far & deep it is undervalue and whether it is worthwhile to hang on & wait mah!

The old fox is a super salesman and Jalil is a well known in funds management, this is a very lethal positive combination mah!

And do not worry that VT need to sell some share of Bjc to prevent it from triggering GO when the Iculs mature in 2022 mah!
