Refer to few points from the Audit report 2013 vs 2012 :
1) Non current liabilities reduce significantly ard 500M (500,000,000.00) Especially Loan/Borrowing/Bonds/Debt reduce up to 35%
2) Current Liabilities reduce significantly ard 434M (434,000,000.00)
Especially Loan/Borrowing reduce up to 15%
3) Latest Qtr Report Revenue Increase more than 60% & Net lose reduce significantly more than 60% (Qtr Vs Qtr) more than 30% (Yr Vs Yr)
4) The repaying back to TNB bill which make sure Electric supply no effect to biz
5) Net Cash Inflow from investing increase significantly 780% to 70M (70,000,000.00) from previous 8M (8,000,000.00)
6) Net Cash Outflow from financing reduce significantly 30% to -ve 174M (-ve174M vs -260M)

with all these factors n the work hard willingness to settle things etc etc i can foresee it will be the next uplift company from PN17 after Hovid/HoHup/Ircb..

Lion Corp: Megasteel, TNB agree to settle RM305.63m financial claim made by TNB for supply of electricity. Lion Corp’s hot-rolled coil manufacturing unit Megasteel SB and Tenaga Nasional (TNB) have mutually agreed to settle a RM305.63m financial claim made by TNB for the supply of electricity. A consent judgment had also been recorded at the High Court of Malaya, stating that Megasteel has been given a 12-month moratorium from April 1, 2014 to pay the amount and that it shall commence the scheduled payment of the amount by 24 monthly instalments from April 1, 2015. Lion Corp noted that subject to the approvals of the company’s shareholders and lenders, the company was to provide a corporate guarantee for the sum of RM30m. (StarBiz)

i think the time is coming soon n TNB settlement is just a starting point to calm investor heart that power supply no issue n the factory etc can keep on going n generating bigger revenue (which ad shown at 2Qtr)..i can foresee their strategy now is keep Boost bigger sales to turn the red color report situation into black n uplift apply uplift PN17 n when tat announcement come easily 100% profit can be make^^

Not sure but I think smth big to be announce soon kua..perhaps the restructure plan coming out soon/or any potential china steel maker gonna JV wf it since it hv the monopolize market in Msia anyway it is just my thought only so shall see wat news to be announce soon:)

拉昔胡申研究分析员说：“我们觉得这10亿美元价格不会只收购Amsteel的部分股权，而是包括金狮集团旗下其他钢铁公司的股权。”

他引述市场资料，美国AK钢铁在今年3月完成的电弧炉（EAF）厂房，成本达1亿8000万美元（约5亿4576万令吉），钢铁生产量为每年140万吨。

“以此为参考，意味着Amsteel的价值只是大约2亿7600万美元（约8亿3683万令吉）。”

同样地，侨丰投资研究分析员亦认为，宝钢的潜在收购计划可能包括金狮集团的其他钢铁公司。

他说：“由于Amsteel仍赚钱，特别是巴生厂房和Antara钢铁在纳百家乐软件闽的热压钢（hot briquetted iron）业务。我们认为，金狮集团管理层可能有意退出美佳钢铁私人有限公司（Megasteel）旗下的扁铁业务。”

料成高炉策略投资者

他怀疑金狮集团可能在这交易下脱售其他钢铁业务，以全面放开在这领域的持股权。

金狮集团的其他钢铁业务包括，金狮多元控股（LionDiv，2887，主板消费产品股）在金狮DRI私人有限公司和金狮高炉（Blast Furnace）私人有限公司的100%直接持股权，以及透过金狮（LionCor，3581，主板工业产品股）直接和间接持有美佳钢铁股权。

另外，拉昔胡申研究分析员也预计，由于专业于扁钢产品，宝钢很可能是金狮集团旗下32亿令吉高炉计划的策略投资者。

“因此，我们相信该高炉计划的现有联营建议可能会取消，这项计划原本是由金狮多元控股、金狮工业（LionInd，4235，主板工业产品股）和金狮森林工业（LionFIB，8486，主板贸服股）联营。”

他补充，如果宝钢加入金狮工业，这将是一个非常利好的进展，因前者将为后者提供技术专业、财务资源、新客户群和品牌。

证实洽谈策略合作计划

针对上述消息，金狮、金狮工业和金狮多元控股今日各别发布文告，证实洽谈策略合作计划。

尽管未提及宝钢，该3家公司皆宣布，它们正针对一项潜能策略合作与数方进行初期洽谈。

它们强调：“这些洽谈仍处在探讨阶段，所以，不能确定双方最终能够取得好的结论。因此，公司会在合适时候做出相关宣布。”

若政府承诺保护钢铁业　金狮再投入40亿

（吉隆坡5日讯）金狮机构（LIONCOR，3581，主板工业股）执行主席丹斯里拿督斯里乌达玛钟廷森表示，目前正与由多个机构组成的钢铁理事会商討，实施5年全面保护协议，並乐观相信，这项协议可在未来1至2个月內敲定。若一切顺利，金狮机构將会投入额外40亿令吉发展其大马的钢铁业务。

钟廷森是在周一会见中文媒体时发表有关的谈话，他指出，受到外国钢铁產品倾销活动，以及邻国实施高关税，以保护自身的钢铁业的影响，本地钢铁製造业者均面对艰难的营运环境。

因此，业者已採取行动，与各政府部门，如大马国际贸易及工业部（MITI），表现管理及传递单位（Pemandu）等洽商，建议实施为期5年的全面保护措施，让钢铁领域的业者，可在5年內，规划及进一步提升產量、优化產品及降低成本等活动，激活过去几面对严重衝击的本地钢铁领域。钟廷森透露，政府也设立的钢铁领域资讯小组，了解及解决钢铁领域所面对的难题。

有鑑於此，钟廷森对於为期5年全面保护协议抱持乐观態度，希望在1至2个月內就可达成协议。

他也指出，目前大马钢铁领域的呆账（NPL）为128亿令吉，若政府不採取保护钢铁领域的措施，呆账將不会减少。

钟廷森认为，大马拥有钢铁领域所需的铁及煤矿天然资源，拥有良好的发展潜能及竞爭优势，目前只欠缺政府的扶持。

此外，钟廷森也表示，若是政府承诺保护钢铁领域的发展，金狮机构將会再投入40亿令吉发展其钢铁业务。於过去，金狮机构共投入了80亿令吉在其钢铁业务。
