When the share price keep dropping, Some so-chai guru will post article to ask all members no panic, this is "long term" investment which need to wait 3 -5 years for the good reward .... hahahahaha...... " long term" is a very good wording to let them feel self happiness ( in hokkien we call it kaki kong kaki song )in order to cover their failure stock pick .

I disagree... The different is last time Amway Cosway famous that time , our technology is not that advance yet. Verbally marketing is strong and long lasting.. At current century. digital marketing is the main player. Cant only rely on old folks like us. As long youngster not strong - like what I said, bottom neck is anytime story.

YNH said ALX Asset would fund its purchase by issuing medium-term notes (MTN) under a proposed asset-backed securities MTN (ABS MTN) programme of up to RM500 million in nominal value.
"The ABS MTN programme may comprise up to one or more tranches, and within each tranche, the MTNs may be issued with different classes,” it said.
YNH said the disposals would enable the group to utilise the proceeds for the repayment of bank borrowings (RM335 million), working capital (RM81.9 million) and estimated expenses for the disposals and proposed ABS MTN programme issue (RM5.6 million).

Amway declared a third single-tier interim dividend of five sen per share, bringing the dividend declared for financial year 2022, as of now, to 15 sen per share.
For the nine months ended Sept 30, 2022, the group’s revenue grew 2.2% y-o-y to RM1.12bil while net profit rose 50% y-o-y to RM53.9mil fuelled by sales growth.

The share price drop is due to mismanagement investors relations. Many years ago, when I was an investment analyst, I attended its results announcement press conference. I approached a management guy with a common question asked by my client (fund manager), that guy refused to answer and say my client should not buy Amway stock. With such a cocky management, I am not surprised at all with the dismal share performance during the last decade, no matter how good the underlying results were.

The rise of Amway I believe is consonant with the fall of USD against MYR. The MYR has been bashed down by politicians and I'm of the opinion that they have managed very well to continue paying dividends quarterly - kudos to the management!
I too raised a valid question at the AGM regarding its hedging policies. They were reticent in their response.
I wondered why? But I've since figured it out & fully understand why. They probably can't explain without looking bad. Believe me - it's in the interest of shareholders.

The next time I attend Amway AGM, I'll kiss the feet of the board, management and the ABOs - for carefully navigating this Co to a more than decent profit despite all the threats and headwinds - inflation, supply chain issues and fake products -to mention a few.
