This is training for young Andrews. Hope he quick to read business movement next time. If he force nme to liquidate 7 month ago muip will get very cheap entry into gold sector.

To claim that MUI Prop has 40.7% stake in Nex Metals Explorations Ltd is a very misleading statement.

Posted by Unfamous369 > 2020-09-09 10:35 | Report Abuse

The only reason that he went for 1.5m plus any accrued interest is that getting NEX to pay such amount of principal in one time is much more worth regarding to NEX current financial. Also, its actually a favour to Muip that NEX couldnt convene an EGM mostly due to the pandemic and internal issue. You can tell by the decision for choosing the principal instead of their stock. This guy wants more than 40.7%

This is not an announcement you wanna make when you ald found some high-grade gold ore in western AUS site unless..... Investor ALWAYS has the right to make a choice over principal or stock, kinda obv here. Would you actually go for 5 quid over 10 quid? or 15 quid? Soon we will know.

Depending on their financial status investor will choose over principal or stock. But it is over now.

looking back at Andrew interview by the edge in nov 2019,it sounds like mui was prepared to go big in gold mining in Australia....it sounded like mui wanted to get involved in gold ming rather than cash

Who spread the false news? Market abuse ah

Posted by Unfamous369 > 2020-09-10 10:20 | Report Abuse

They just didnt tell you the story behind, not considered as fake news. Just lets see if everything is still according to Andrew plan. Its highly unlikely that just choosing principal over stock and holding it without any further action...

Batmoo...the loan if converted to shares, MUIP will get 40.7% shareholding, else Nex to payback 1.5M+interest

on 4 September that Nex Metals Explorations Ltd (Nex Metals) (a listed company in Australia which is involved in gold exploration) has failed to convene an EGM to seek its shareholders’ approval for MUIPROP’s conversion of AUD1.5m Secured Convertible Note issued by Nex Metals into ordinary shares, which otherwise would have resulted in MUIPROP owning a 40.7% stake in Nex Metals; and (ii) on 9 September that Nex Metals has fully settled the outstanding AUD1.5m Secured Convertible Note and accrued interest of AUD0.4m, thus effectively terminating its debt-to-equity conversion plan in Nex Metals.
MUIProp is no more tied with gold price

MUI Properties Bhd (Trading Sell)

• The cessation of MUIPROP’s exposure in gold mining has prompted us to recommend a Trading Sell on the stock. Our previous Trading Buy call made on 28 July this year was on the premise of MUIPROP being a proxy to rising gold prices, which subsequently saw its share price soaring to as high as RM0.53 on 7 August. Its last traded price of RM0.25 remains above our previously set technical target price of RM0.24.
• This comes after the Company announced: (i) on 4 September that Nex Metals Explorations Ltd (Nex Metals) (a listed company in Australia which is involved in gold exploration) has failed to convene an EGM to seek its shareholders’ approval for MUIPROP’s conversion of AUD1.5m Secured Convertible Note issued by Nex Metals into ordinary shares, which otherwise would have resulted in MUIPROP owning a 40.7% stake in Nex Metals; and (ii) on 9 September that Nex Metals has fully settled the outstanding AUD1.5m Secured Convertible Note and accrued interest of AUD0.4m, thus effectively terminating its debt-to-equity conversion plan in Nex Metals.
• On the chart, a probable sell-off in MUIPROP could push the stock to hit RM0.20 initially (S1, the price level when we last recommended the stock) before testing RM0.17 (S2) thereafter. This represents downside potentials of 20% and 32%, respectively.
