I still don’t understand the logic on this BAT share. Is grossly under value. Smoking will continue (vapes and cigarettes) despite all the hula noises…..Thus BAT will continue to pay about RM0.50 - RM0.80 per share annually. There are many counters that hardly declared dividends more than RM0.10 per share annually, but share prices are high. Take for instance Mr DIY which pay around RM0.03 annually per share , but share price at RM2… where as BAT at RM8 annual dividend about RM0.70 … where the logic. Moreover free float BAT shares limited.

Pahang state also hard to ban vape... Not easy, next quarter if revenue maintain n PAT also above 550/600 mil, BAT worth 8.90-9.00 or even higher. For Mr Diy which being pushed up by funds n research houses high TP, is more risky than BAT, fundamental analysis viewpoint, MrDIY should go down below 1.70, if profits continue to fall, 1.70 also overvalued quite a lot.

those they ban are all small shops that opened illegally without proper permit....but bat malaysia are license by govt to sell cig or vapes....so they r not affected....in actual fact , it is even better for them...

problem is all these illegal shops tend to sell to minors.....all since law gazetted under tobacco act 852...officially 1st Oct govt can enforced the law...meaning govt can close the shop if suspected of selling to minors...is a highly regulated business...only bat malaysia can sell...bcoz they r compliant with the law....also these illegal shops doesnt pay any taxes or duties.....
