I believe BAT will continues to make profits and not likely losses primarily there will still be smokers whether combustible, heat not burn or vape . BAT has all these products . They’re vape ‘ vuse’ well received in Malaysia and vuse in global market leader. Not many counters in Bursa paid dividend yield more than 8% year… at RM8 BAT probably at 8% yield.

BAT needs to see 1 more quarter result to confirm whether the company really turnaround or not, if next quarter Net profit also above 60 or 61 mil, the turnaround is even more solid, share price should be able to break 9.00-9.20. For next 2-3 days, buying momentum plus feel good atmosphere may push it to go up further but Friday rise a bit too fierce. Vuse in vape market seems like gaining market share if government put more effort to reduce illicit cigarettes, BAT maybe able to post higher than 63/65mil PAT for next 2 quarters.

Totally agree! With BAT diversifying into vapes and the market showing positive signs, I think we can expect solid results. If they keep churning out profits, especially with that dividend yield hovering around 8%, I'm all in. Can't wait to see how the next quarter shapes up!

For the situation of past 2-3 years, it is much better to maintain selling price or reduce Rm 0.80 or Rm 1 per pack in order to fight illicit cigarettes in the black market. The government can reduce illicit cigarettes market share to below 45 or 48% will help to boost profit level of BAT in next 2-3 quarters. Vape market situations or how BAT perform in Vape market should be analysed by research houses covering this counter..
