“What is the point of privatising Proton by selling its entire stake to DRB-Hicom when at the end of the day, the government continues to ‘finance’ the company’s sustenance? This further raises the question — if Geely fails to resuscitate Proton and gives up on the company, will the government step in again to keep Proton on life support?” he asked. -Tony Pua

NTA RM 1.28 who buy now get 31 sen discount to asset value. Some assets(property) yet to revalue so expect even higher NTA when revaluation done.

Based on previous price trend after red QR...it might take about one week for price to stabilize...

I will wait till next week..

Next QR very critical, new businesses should able to generate sufficient revenue/profit to pay future dividend...otherwise Media might end up like BAT

Way better than BAT. Smoking is bad and govn will discourage it. GE looming govn must spend more on adex.

@BN_Menang...i see both BAT and Media facing similar challenges...their traditional business not bringing expected profit to pay generous dividend as before...

anyway, both ventures in new businesses, but it will have gestation period before we can see the fruit...

Despite good dividend given out every quarter, and also it's currently very cheap but (TA disagreed becoz it's a downtrend stock), looking at this, I find no other reason why Morgan Stanley keep buying in.

Another reason, I believed it's Election counter.

1. cheap price
2. foreign funds in
3. election counter
