NRP: Number of serious cases new indicator for phase transition – Tengku Zafrul

“KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 5): The number of new Covid-19 cases with serious symptoms will be used as a new indicator for the transition into phases two and three of the National Recovery Plan (NRP), says NRP Coordinating Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz.

He said this would replace the Covid-19 new cases indicator, using as proxy new hospital admission cases for Covid-19 adapted for categories three, four and five.

Having reached a vaccination rate of 40 per cent among the adult population, he said the number of new Covid-19 cases had become less relevant, as most cases were asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic (categories one and two), effectively reducing the burden on the public health infrastructure.”

Why Malaysians, Singaporeans love to go to Genting Highlands in MY? Think please.

Of course the beautiful cool/cold air at Genting Highlands…. got hotels, lots of halal foods, restaurants, new theme park for kids & families, Shopping at Premium oulets, cable car rides, casinos.

Most Singapore citizens prefer to have short holidays (overnight trips even) at Genting Highlands….n gamble for fun in Genting MY bcos of the SGD150 per person imposed by Genting Singapore.

I heard before covid, Sporeans only need to pay SGD50 each for coach trip to Genting Highlands with free hotel stays…. COOL WEATHER AT GENTING HIGHLANDS is a BIG ATTRACTION, agree guys?

For category 4 and 5, >85% unvaccinated.

With on going vaccination,seems like cat.4 and Cat. 5 can be further reduced in near future!!!!!!!!!!

Ya… the only way is vaccinated. Just look at other country, vaccination really help to control the pandemic. Although the cases won’t become 0, but it helps to relief the burden of the frontliner. At least, the cases are lower, government have times to focus on those really serious cases.. people can travel but with restriction such as sop and so on. Look at China and usa, they are free from travelling and watch football and basketball. The power of vaccine
