Steel buisness is not good as the construction sector is down trend, locally as well as globally. Morever the steel price is bearish world wide. This is just the begining of downtrend. Takes some years to pickup.

Those who have bought a lot of Hiap Teck (HT) securities before the rights and after the rights you have to be patient. You will notice that after the rights the Company went on to record for the first time a profit after so many quarterly losses. Then you notice the MOU signed between HT and Angang China. There will be more positive news to come. I will be very happy if we see positive outcome of a decision soon by the Chinese Mill to join force with HT on a much larger scale. I see that HT will become a platform for this Mill to enlarge and dominate the market in the future. In anyway, I see existing shareholders well rewarded if the Chinese Mill take up some large block of shares in HT. Be patient and continue to buy more is my advice. It is becoming a trend for more Chinese mills wanting to expand in Malaysia.

Pls wait for a while. The whole idea of the recent corporate exercise is to distribute most of the reserves to the deserving existing shareholders. The shareholders are rewarded with very attractive bonus shares package and high 5% loan stock and convertible at 50 sen. Also free warrant. So when new Chinese mill move in we make the money. HT shares ultimately will move above 50 sen. See the kind of margin you can make. Just buy me a cup of coffee will do. I bought enough for myself oledi. Good luck.

based on my personal analysis, I feel that this counter would be hibernating for the next couple of weeks. still lacking of concrete catalyst, but once the negotiations are finalized, expect to see action. i am in the mode of slow accumulation for this next couple of weeks......
