Everyone who has been following oil markets during the pandemic knows that WTI crude prices reached negative levels in an unprecedented turn of events in April 2020.

The culprit back then was the overflowing Cushing storage hub.

In 2021, America's largest oil storage hub is once again about to play a crucial role in what could be the next major price shock in oil markets.

But this time, the opposite is true. Crude inventories in the crucial oil storage facility are plunging at an alarming rate.

According to JP Morgan, Cushing may just be weeks away from being ``effectively out of crude''

You see, a gas crisis in Europe and Asia has already led to a large, and unexpected jump in demand. This in combination with OPEC's overcompliance to its output cuts has created a very tight oil market

Without additional volumes, JP Morgan expects the Cushing hub to reach critical levels in the next two months, setting crude prices up for a serious spike.

In order to reflect the benefits of higher crude oil prices, Tat Securities adjusted upwards to Petronas Chemical (PCHEM, 5183, Main Board Industrial Product Service Group), International Shipping (MISC, 3816, Main Board Transportation and Logistics Group) and VELESTO Energy (VELESTO, 5243, Main Board Energy) Group) and other oil and gas stocks’ valuations and target prices.

The bank upgraded Petronas Chemical’s rating from the previous “hold” to “buy”, mainly because the company purchases natural gas raw materials from its parent company Petronas at a lower price, and the cost is relatively low. Some competitors are facing cost pressures caused by rising naphtha raw material prices.

Wu Junsheng said that the oil and gas stocks currently assigned by Hong Leong Investment Bank with a "buy" rating include International Shipping, Armada (ARMADA, 5210, Main Board Energy Group), Dia Le Group (DIALOG, 7277, Main Board Energy Group), and Da Leong Foreign Enterprise (DAYANG, 5141, Main Board Energy Group).

Oil markets rebounded strongly on Friday as focus returned to plummeting inventories at the Cushing, Oklahoma storage hub for crude.

“The issue is that there is not going to be any opportunity to restock Cushing in the next 3-5 months as runs should stay high,” said Scott Shelton, energy futures broker at ICAP in Durham, North Carolina. “But it will be a volatile trade.”

yup, the crusher-or clan take control in short while Dayang weak.
Who is the crusher-or whom practicing par setting made up ?
They can be the investment banker / maybe major shareholder who want to distribute their shares at a gradually manner and dont want to damage the share price in a horribly shocking. (pure guessing anyway).

Whenever, there are scenario like this. Share price short term dying.
Till, there is a stronger force surface and break the chain .

However, that doesn't affect the plan initiated by a long term / value investors.
As they are the most exciting group when can buy at much lower price.

Make sure the portfolio to be flexible and not to overloaded during accumulation a good value counters.
