Unless the company is ready to face the stiff competition in the not so distant future, I see bleak future for legacy HDD manufacturers.

NAND SSD production cannot catch up for Smart Phone usage. Samsung S8 and Xiaomi cannot increase Production due to SSD shortage and even have to use the lower spec to meet the Smart Phone Production

I can see in my office, if the smart phone play a important role in their work or business, it is quite often that they will buy a HDD to backup their data, also the Iphone user tends to using HDD, i can see the increasing smartphone data will push the HDD usage to a higher level, it does not make sense to pay more for a backup purpose by using SSD

when will HDD become a dinosaurs business, yes, one day when people is switching to Hybrid HDD then SDD will play the important role then

So it is a buy to me for JCY

@erkongseng. Good analysis. Being an ex CFO of a large Australian fund manager for a number of years, my experience tell me that the share price is likely to rise in tandum with the profit figures. Accordingly, the coy is likely to increase the dividend distribution especially when their debts are low. If the result come in at around $200m this year I would expect their CFO to recommend an increase in dividend of at lease 0.5 cent.
