If like that, why still going to invest to operating.

It's actually slightly worse than that. Although the company was forecasting revenue from the WTE plant of RM100M in 2015, in it's Unaudited Interim Financial Report for the Third Quarter ended 31 July 2021, the company stated that "Once the plant is commissioned, the integrated WTE plant is expected to contribute up to RM80 million a year in revenue". So now we have RM80M less RM69.3M less operating costs. A positive effect on earnings is starting to look improbable.

According to http://ir.chartnexus.com/cypark/docs/Press%20Releases/20160105_N60_RSV_MN_10_FC_CYPARK~POSITIVE~ON~MORE~RE~BUSINESSES.pdf “the company targets to receive 1,000 tonnes of solid waste per day. We [Public Investment Bank] estimate the tipping fee is around RM30/tonne”. A tipping fee of MYR30 per tonne at 1,000 tonnes per day would be MYR11M per annum.

And according to https://www.st.gov.my/en/contents/publications/energyMalaysia/Energy%20Malaysia%20Volume%2013.pdf , in 2017, the combined cost of electricity is 26.39 cen per kWh, which puts an annual value on say, 22.5MW of RM0.2639 * 22.5 * 1000 * 24 * 365 = RM52M. And that assumes the plant can produce 22.5MW 24x7, which seems a bit optimistic.

So unless Cypark has negotiated better tipping fees and wholesale energy prices (which it may have) my estimate of the revenue is not the RM80M suggested by the company, but RM63M.

Now the effect on earnings is going to be RM63M less RM69.3M less operating costs. Unless there's something seriously wrong with my reasoning, bringing the WTE plant on line is going to have a seriously negative effect on earnings.

Cypark biz is good but continuous issues of discounted new shares at the cost to other minority shareholders will keep on depressing the price.

According to the observation of Maybank Investment Research, the net profit of Cypark resources generally exceeds 20%; in contrast, Solarvest's profit is between 6% and 18%.

This gap is attributable to Cypark resources that can obtain stable income from electricity sales, with a total capacity of 40 MW. Among them, 29 MW is carried out under the Electricity Repurchase (FiT) program, with an average electricity price of 93 cents per kilowatt-hour.

The reason why Solarvest's profit in the 2019 and 2020 fiscal years is relatively poor is that the profit brought by the EPCC project of the LSS project is not comparable to the installation of rooftop photovoltaic systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.

On the other hand, as Cypark Resources is expanding its footprint in the two major asset areas of solar photovoltaics and waste-to-energy (WTE), the balance sheet will be greatly affected.

Analysts said that as of the end of April this year, the net debt ratio of Cypark resources has more than doubled.

"In any case, as the above-mentioned assets begin to generate profit and cash flow, we expect that the debt ratio will gradually ease from the 2023 fiscal year."

In contrast, Solarvest has been in a net cash position since it went public in 2019.

Cypark's power generation will increase 5 times

Rating: Buy Target Price: RM1.35

Maybank Investment Research said that Cypark Resources currently owns and operates 18 solar power stations in the country, with a total power generation capacity of 40 megawatts. After the completion of the LSS2 and LSS3 projects next year, the power generation managed by the company will be expanded by more than five times to 230 megawatts.

In addition, Cypark Resources is also developing its first WTE plant in Negeri Sembilan, which is currently in the commissioning stage. It is worth mentioning that the company is also bidding for WTE projects in Johor and Malacca, which are expected to boost profitability after success.

Analysts believe that in the short term, renewable energy and WTE businesses will support the growth of Cypark's resources business.

At the same time, analysts also estimate that the pre-tax profit from electricity sales can usher in an average annual growth rate (CAGR) of 17% within 3 years and reach 42 million ringgits in fiscal year 2023.

At the same time, waste management and WTE business are estimated to contribute 14 million ringgits of pre-tax profit in fiscal year 2023, accounting for 10% of the total.

"In general, we expect Cypark resources to achieve an average annual increase in net profit of 18% in the 2020-2023 fiscal year."

Although Cypark Resources has formulated a dividend policy with a dividend payout rate of 25%, in the 2019 and 2020 fiscal years, the company did not pay dividends, but retained cash to expand its business.

Analysts estimate that the company will resume dividend payments in fiscal year 2022. After all, most of its renewable energy assets have already been put into operation and created cash flow at that time.

"Based on the 25% dividend payout ratio, we forecast 2022 and 2023 dividends, which will be 3.50 and 4.10 sen, respectively, which means that the dividend rate is at 3.6% and 4.2%."

The biz model and the scale of Cypark are very different to those of Solarvest and hence the capital structures and cash flow patterns are not similar and comparable.

Cypark considered very stable stock compare to others soon will go up when iod and cod lss, wte.completed, now inprogress.

renewable energy is definitely the future. Cypark business model is inclusive and capital intensive. with good management, be it financial or business, the company shall perform well in the future.

Those who understand the biz and biz model of Cypark will find that Cypark is much undervalued. Cypark was early in the renewable energy space so it has manage to lockup very good rates in the REPPA with the off taker TNB. New rates for solar, for example, now is much less lucrative than those who manage to build solar farms earlier.
No need to worry about heavy debts and negative cash flow as Cypark need big capital to invest in its projects and Cypark still growing its biz. The profits and cash flows from these projects are virtually guarantee during the duration of REPPA.

For WTE project Cypark has 2 sources of income. Tipping fee and power sales.
According to KPKT the capacity of WTE plant in TM is 1000mt/day x RM50/MT= RM50, 000.00/ day

Did PP complete or not?

Karlos

Continuous issuing of new shares via PP is not fair to the existing share holders as their interest will be diluted. One likely reason why Cypark share price continue to be weak.
Once Cypark stop issuing new shares via PP or cheap ESOS, the price will likely to surge up as the company is much undervalued at current price level.

2nd tranche 50.6 mil share @ 92 sen
1st tranche 20 mil share @ 90sen.

@Johnzhang,PP investors are not simpletons otherwise how come they got chosen and able to subscribe those new shares? Just take a look at the stock price of Cyparks. What if these investors sold their shares or short them when the price were above the current low price just quite recently and then cover or buy back via PP. We know the price for PP share will always be at a discount and the management can wait for the "right price" to fix the PP share's price.
