m'sia is not the only country with this trend. few major factors which are:

-- changing demographic: with people living longer resulting in growing elderly citizens;
-- greater affluence that causes more lifestyle-related illness;
-- over-crowded public healthcare facilities;
-- rising middle class: leading to greater consumer awareness; and
-- access to funding: with greater insurance penetration leading to increasing accessibility to private healthcare services.

on top of the above, gov healthcare budget also driving this sector fast.
