See the amount of dividend paid to non controlling interest, then decide whether you would support this type of company. ST trading play amidst chief traders looking to rotate play low price counters. LT very negative if non controlling interest is not disclose comprehensively, correctly and accurately.
Jeffreyteck, nothing unusual about profit distribution. The non-controlling interest is in joint venture property projects which had been profitable. Thus, joint venture partner also shares in the profits. However, most of the construction projects are mainly undertaken by Bpuri itself. Thus since the construction sector is currently not profitable the loss will have to borne mainly by Bpuri itself. Jefferyteck, perhaps you should consult a qualified accountant to help you better understand the detailed financial statements contained in the Annual Reports before commenting further.
I have a question below, and I hope someone can enlighten me ....
I am from Penang. Bina Puri is the developer of OPUS, KL (opposite Stadium Merdeka). Is that OPUS project completed already? How is the occupancy rate of that OPUS? I heard/read that OPUS is a serviced apartment. Does this mean that Bina Puri still manages that OPUS residence, after completion? (well, that is the meaning of "serviced apartment", right?) If so, does this mean that Bina Puri still derives some income (service apartment) from OPUS? After all, that is how I understand the concept of "service apartment"...

Another question below ..... Since OPUS is a service apartment, who is running/providing the "service" now for that completed OPUS apartment? Is it Bina Puri itself? or another company? If it is Bina Puri, then does this mean that Bina Puri is deriving some income by providing those "service" to OPUS apartment?

Also must TQ to non controlling interest as without them for JVs, the SHs would have sufferred even more and NTA would have depleted at a faster speed and more private placement or right issues may be needed.
