Vaccine trial is not 100% ready but countries are taking chances. Half is better than none. Look at US, UK, Russia and China all speeding up and get the vaccine doses available before year end. Even WHO will issue emergency greenlight for the trial dosage usage.

Pharmaceutical companies are the real beneficiary of the covid 19 outbreak epidemic. Vaccine , medicals , syringes are all needed and stock up by health authorities. Government will buy in bulk and distributed it thru their state owned companies

Glovers believe that healthcare is all about using Gloves ONLY. Therefore, they have a strong perception bias in believing that Pharmaniaga and Duopharma are all about Vaccine only, while ignoring the fact that the higher the anticipation of public/investors towards covid vaccine, the less interested they are in glove counters - which is justifiable by simultaneous downward trend for gloves and upward trend for pharmaceutical counters.

On the other hand, investor's appetite for Pharmaceutical counters won't wear off easily like that happen in gloves. The problem with gloves are that higher than usual glove demands is not sustainable in the long run - same does the ASP - due to foreseeable downward pressure on ASP as a result of more and more competitors joining the bandwagon.

Gloves are suffering too much internal and external pressure. Competitions, Supply shortage, labor shortage etc. Coupled with rumours on Vaccine as glove killer, windfall tax and over-weighted share prices.
