The increase in inventory is already a clear sign that sales will increase. If I recall correctly, NIKE did not forecast for a sales drop but rather a slow down in growth.
NIKE, INC. REPORTS FISCAL 2017 THIRD QUARTER RESULTS • Revenues up 5 percent to $8.4 billion; 7 percent growth on a currency-neutral basis* • Diluted earnings per share up 24 percent to $0.68 • Inventories up 7 percent as of February 28, 2017

Padini is mfg and sell on their own shop , start from procurement, production to open shop and sell. Magni is mfg for Nike only , don't open shop to sell and no marketing involved . Get order from Nike and mfg and sell to Nike .
Also Padini market is local based only (mostly) but Magni is produce for Nike and sell worldwide
How to compare both!!!!!
Go study la
If want compare , maybe compare Prlexus and Magni Not Padini and Magni
In terms of % growth, PROLEXUS might be stronger than Magni in the next 3-5 years, PROLEXUS are currently on a very aggressive expansion plan. There is however, more risk in PROLEXUS because going Vietnam is new and going upstream also new. MAGNI is at a progressive growth stage.
Honestly, i was choose prolexus over magni in past few years, but then i regret and leave behind prolexus and go to magni. i feel happier with magni now.
Invent in Magni is simple, just keep an eye on Dr Neoh. I jumped in when i noticed he was buying. Didn't see him selling any share. Why worry? In fact, he was recommending it just couple of weeks ago in a coffee shop.
another position that Dr take is PBA. This is definitely my favorite company. The kind that I can just buy and collect dividend forever. Till the day Penang no longer use water
Magni inventory turnover is a lot shorter than 90 days. Looking at Q3 inventory level, it is a given than Q4 will show minimum 10% YOY growth. The key here is how much the year end dividend will be increased YOY. I will be greatly disappointed if dividend growth less than 10%
