Anyway, Calvin went to check up on Eduspec & SEM

Eduspec is recession proof in education. Just raised over RM30 millions through capital exercise. A check on over RM30 Millions revenue only garnered about RM1 Million profit is just too little unless some big thing will happen. It is a mediocre stock.

SEM is a better stock. Fair NTA, fair EPS & a coming 2 cents dividend. OK lah. Price to buy at 70 cents. Calvin think you can get it cheaper if you wait. Even Kimlun has fallen below RM1.50.

Both of the above are average to good.

Calvintaneng. SEB's major shareholder is Success. May not be able to go up a lot unless it is no longer under the latter's control. Success is very slow as compared to others, even KcChongnz doesn't like that much this counter. Would u like to consider VS Industry in yr portfolio?

VS = Very solid.

Thanks for highlighting this counter. Solid earnings with fair NTA. Cash position improved a lot. Not bad at all but price also up more than 60% a year already. Can consider if I have spare cash

I don't have SEM or Success shares either. I think I am addicted to buy overlooked unpopular stocks with high NTA

Many thanks. U're right, has gone up a lot, will wait until it cools down. Yr view is in line with KcChongnz. Do not play around with counters with high NTA but unpopular, esp those with high debts and bad FCF. My money got burnt with Maemode...a high NTA company but bad FCF, eventually one quarter reported a very hugh loss, wipe off all NTA, placed under PN17 and was hammered the final nail in the coffin (delisted). Sad.

Not just any high NTA but the quality of the NTA that counts.

1) Mulpha's Leisure Farm Lands Book Value RM8.50 psf. Current value is RM200 psf.

2) MP Corp's Nusa Damai Lands Bk Value RM8.40. Current Value RM70 to RM100 psf

3) BJ CORP has RM11 Billions in NTA. If Revalued 10 to 30 x more.

The Quality of the NTA is paramount to Value Investors.
