马来西亚家具总会会长陈文海披露，基于全球经济放缓及订单短缺，我国家具业今年首4个月的出口量同比下挫34.2%，出口总额仅有33亿7000万令吉。

他指出，家具业出口额在前两年的同期出现暴增趋势，可能是受到中美贸易战影响，才让我国渔翁得利。

他说，制造业有幸于去年得到政府批准，引进等待已久的外劳，但由于目前深陷订单短缺窘境，业者无法如期将外劳带进工厂。
