^^^OIL & GAS: WAS IT A BOTTOM?

Congratulation if you have FISH the bottom yesterday!!!

All O&G done its lowest record low on the MEGA selldown since month ago. Today O&G rebounds strongly in range of 5%-15% in heavy volumes with the bullish divergence and MACD hook-up..

Does it mean that the SOLID BOTTOM was hit yesterday?

I believe "THE WORST IS OVER" for temporary....that we should start taking some position in the market presently.

While we may not be buying near the bottom, we will be buying now at deeply-depressed prices that would lower our potential downside risk & increase our potential upside return for more than 20%....what comes down must goes up!!

I quick done a summary on those potential target base on Fib. cal to hit in near term:

DAYANG 1,25(0,236); 1,59(0,382); 1,86(0,500)
UZMA 0,465(0,236); 0,565(0,382); 0,640(0,500)
VELESTO 0,168(0,236); 0,207(0,382); 0,238(0,500)
CARIMIN 0,530(0,236); 0,670(0,382); 0,778(0,500)

Good luck! Huat Huat AAARRRR!!!! Happy Trading!!

@jiunn "While we may not be buying near the bottom, we will be buying now at deeply-depressed prices that would lower our potential downside risk & increase our potential upside return hold on to this stance too..."

This is my opinion and stance too. Yes, the price may go down some more. But when compared to what it was just some weeks ago, the current price is definitely 'a bargain'. Better than what those investment bank analysts had opined.

The oil & gas sector is in trouble right now and it's very risky to buy the related shares. But I'm going to risk it and speculate on things to improve in the coming months. Bought some Uzma units to get started. Will see how things go in the coming days and weeks, and add at different times.

If this speculation pans out, there might be a 100% return in the future. Hopefully within a year. "Too optimistic"? Perhaps. But we have seen this story before at Bursa. Again and again.

News from CNBC

Oil prices dropped nearly 5% on Friday and were on track for a fifth straight weekly loss as demand destruction caused by the coronavirus outweighed stimulus efforts by policymakers around the world.

Brent crude was trading 5.1% lower at $24.99 per barrel.

U.S. crude fell $1.09, or 4.8%, to settle at $21.51 per barrel.

Stocks fell sharply on Friday, giving back some of the strong gains experienced in the previous three days to cap off another volatile week on Wall Street.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 915.39 points, or 4.1%, to 21,636.78. The S&P 500 slid 3.4% to 2,541.47 while the Nasdaq Composite closed 3.7% lower at 7,502.38.

Saudi Arabia is not backing down from the oil price war for market share, pledging another increase in its crude oil exports starting in May, despite a growing global glut amid crashing demand.
“[T]he Kingdom intends to increase its crude oil exports, starting from May, by about 600 thousand barrels per day, bringing the total of Saudi petroleum exports to 10.6 million barrels per day,” an official at the Saudi Arabian Energy Ministry said on Monday, as carried by the official Saudi Press Agency.

Breaking News from Bloomberg

Oil is entering a period of unparalleled demand destruction this month that promises to transform the industry for years to come.

Daily consumption will plummet by 15 million to 22 million barrels in April from a year earlier, according to estimates from some of the world’s most influential energy analysts. The crash has already led to refiners slashing processing, drillers halting output and storage tanks swelling across the world.

The demand slump is being exacerbated by former OPEC+ allies Saudi Arabia and Russia pumping as much crude as they can in a battle for market share, heaping additional pressure on shipping, tanks and pipelines. Goldman sees around 20 million barrels a day flowing into storage in April, while IHS Markit expects the world will run out of space to store oil by the middle of the year.

"Oil price likely to be moving towards USD15/barrel based on the above scenario"

"Few in the industry will be spared. April is also set to be the worst ever month for global jet fuel demand, while industry consultant FGE forecasts American gasoline consumption will plunge by 50% from a year earlier. Energy Aspects Ltd. predicts global benchmark Brent crude may drop to near $10 a barrel, a level not seen in more than two decades."

Dow plunges 974 points after Trump warns of 'painful' times to come and a 'shocking' coronavirus death toll

* US stocks fell sharply on Wednesday after President Donald Trump told the country to brace for a "very, very painful two weeks" amid the coronavirus pandemic.
* The White House projected that the US could see 100,000 to 240,000 deaths from COVID-19, the illness caused by the coronavirus.
* The losses came on the heels of the worst-ever first quarter for the Dow Jones industrial average.

US stocks fell Wednesday after President Donald Trump issued a dire new warning about pain ahead due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Trump told Americans to brace for a "very, very painful two weeks" during a press briefing Tuesday evening, adding "this is going to be three weeks like we've never seen before."
The White House is now projecting that the US could see between 100,000 and 240,000 deaths from the coronavirus pandemic, peaking over the next two weeks. Right now, the US has 189,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19, currently the largest outbreak in the world. As of April 1, 4,000 have died of coronavirus in the US.

Here's where major US indexes stood at the 4 p.m. ET market close on Wednesday:
* S&P 500: 2,470.50, down 4.4%
* Dow Jones industrial average: 20,943.51, down 4.4% (974 points)
* Nasdaq composite: 7,360.58, down 4.4%

Investor sentiment is falling as the impact of the coronavirus pandemic is "maybe starting to hit home for people that had been hoping for better news," Liz Ann Sonders, chief investment strategist at Charles Schwab, told Markets Insider in an interview.
The losses came after the Dow Jones industrial average posted its worst-ever quarterly performance on Tuesday, slipping more than 23%. Both the Dow and the S&P 500 also posted their worst monthly returns since the depth of the financial crisis in October 2008, falling 14% and 13% in March.
