The project will now be undertaken by Malaysia alone with new alignment from KL to Johor Bahru. Technically nothing much changed, but without Singapore's participation only.

Without HRS , What is Bandar Malaysia without a a modern railway system ? It is better to rename it to Malaysia China Town and shift Jalan Petaling there or Bandar Rohinya Malaysia or Bandar Kampong Melayu 2025...lol.

I had seen the original route of the proposed HSRL , but I think both sides initial omitted the 2 international airport as this serve meaningless for travelers. From Singapore to KL either you take HS train or plane (vise versa from KL to Singapore).

Furthermore it will cost very much more to connect Changi airport to Jurong by HSR. Anyway agreement is agreement , and when changes is not agreed, project have to be canceled.
The whole idea of changes and canceling, I personally think this is not coming from the PM himself. Anyway he will regret for his decision later on.

HSR will benefit Malaysia rather than Singapore. This west coast HSRL will has a vast impact on development of west coast of the peninsular especially Malacca state, the historical city. What a waste ?!.......I used to drive from JB to Malacca city..it is like a pain in the ass during the holidays eve . It takes you more than 4 hours and very tired.

Btw gone is gone.

hsr is the main factor for BM...thats why international companies are interested in BM, can travel to sg fast fast n back

plus ekovest has to commit so much money for bandar malaysia...

also dunno how are they gonna fund the remaining 1.2bil for buying over iwh crec portion....

yes, there is existing HSR line connecting Thailand and China.
It is almost completed soon in Bangkok.
