Reference is made to an article titled “GLC eyeing SMTrack” which appeared in New Straits Times on 5 January 2022.



The Board of Directors of the Company (“Board”) wishes to clarify that the Company is in early stage of negotiation with a government-linked company (“GLC”) of which no agreement has been reached at this juncture. In the event any decision or agreement is made in relation thereto, the Board will make the necessary announcement in compliance with the ACE Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad accordingly.



In respect of the statement “There is also rumours that a prominent "Datuk Seri" will become another substantial shareholder of the company”, the Board wishes to clarify that the Company is not aware or been notified of any prominent “Datuk Seri” who will become the substantial shareholder of SMTrack.



This announcement is dated 6 January 2022.

Like what I just said, it is mostly true that the discussion is true while the rumors about the Datuk Seri is mostly false. This is because the writing in the newspaper is straightforward for GLC while the writing for the Datuk Seri is very very cautious.
