KUALA LUMPUR (March 23): SMTrack Bhd is purchasing a Bombardier Challenger 601-3A aircraft for US$1.8 million (RM7.6 million) as part of its move to venture into cargo carriage services.

In a filing with the bourse, the company said it has entered into an aircraft purchase agreement with Fairway Logistic (M) Sdn Bhd for the purchase of the aircraft, together with all installed parts, including auxiliary power unit and landing gear, major avionics, cabin interior, wheels and brakes.

It will fund the acquisition using proceeds from the issuance of redeemable convertible notes, which was approved by the shareholders at the company's extraordinary general meeting held on Dec 28, 2020.

The acquisition will increase SMTrack's net assets to RM50.79 million from RM43.23 million, it said, although the company does not expect it to have any material impact on its earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2022.

"There are no liabilities, including contingent liabilities and guarantees to be assumed by SMTrack pursuant to the acquisition," it said.

The company expects to complete the acquisition within three months.

SMTrack closed unchanged at 8.5 sen for a market capitalisation of RM65.38 million.

年少打拼赚得第一桶金

20岁时，李金友创立了自己的公司，他做起了印刷生意。带着从出版社学来的印刷经验和流程，自己买材料、接订单、联系印刷厂。一年后，他拥有了人生的第一桶金，完成了人生从100令吉到第一个100万令吉的转变。30岁以前，他陆续涉及了许多行业，包括古董、食品机械和医药等等。其中，他最青睐的便是古董生意，一场古董展销会便能赚得70多万令吉，这在当时来说可是天文数字。

后来，30岁时，李金友听说最赚钱的两个行业是银行和地产，他就把自己的工厂送人或者关闭，创办了绿野地产有限公司，专注在房地产行业，经常去法国、意大利等地方考察，过起了标准商业精英的生活。
建造特色房产项目

1986年，李金友开始开发第一个项目——绿野山庄。当时马来西亚的经济不景气，他买下的还是一块废弃的橡胶园，因此许多人嘲笑他在不合适的时间买了不合适的地皮，是在玩“破烂过家家”。面对这些嘲笑，李金友却坚持要做一个有特点的房产项目，他到国外考察时，见过很多庄园。他以此为灵感，想创造一个庄园式的生活环境，让人们能远离高楼大厦，与自然为伍。

李金友开始拓荒、撒草籽、栽种果树，在荒地上建起了一座山庄。十年后，李金友成为马来西亚的地产大亨，绿野集团也成为了以地产和旅游为主的综合性上市集团，项目遍布世界各地。成功后的李金友成为了众多房地产商的目标，绿野集团叫做Country Heights，因此许多房地产公司也跟着叫“Heights”、以前的地产项目都叫“花园”，现在跟着他叫“山庄”。

后来，李金友在锡矿坑边建造了金马皇宫酒店、在吉隆坡市中心铺设了一块人造沙滩，建造了绿野沙滩温泉酒店。之后他又建了马来西亚威尼斯——绿野水上购物广场，广场内河道密布，人们乘坐水上的士在商店中穿梭。创业以来，绿野集团经历过两次危机——1998年的金融风暴和2001年911事件的影响，跨过重重危机、风暴后的绿野，现在已经进入一个新的里程碑了。
金钱非企业的唯一目标

李金友创办企业的五个信念是质量、特点、风格、爱和大自然。以质量和特点来说，举例金马皇宫酒店，因为马的特征为世人所爱，有共同世界观，加上独特的风格，让它在任何时候都能引人注目，这些价值是它在经历了金融风暴后仍能屹立不倒的主因。另外，爱是可以从各方面发挥的，例如注重保护大自然，就是对大自然的爱，这也是绿野一路来的终极目标。

李金友认为做生意不能惟利是图。以他的社会地位，他可以到很多国家去做赌场生意，赚钱更快；但他坚持君子爱财，取之有道。他认为人生在世，每日忙碌于追逐金钱是没有意义的，而应该要随时回报社会。因此，他和政府合作，建造了残障自强职业训练学院，也因此获得政府颁发的丹斯里（Tan Sri）荣誉。当时的李金友年仅41岁，是大马华人里最年轻的丹斯里荣誉获得者。
